Yeah I like this. Getting a trade connection to another civ would help us a lot.

I really don't see why it terribly matters. I suppose it's not ideal to miss a turn, but it's not like anything other than "we moved a couple units, score changed a little" happened, and we've been having the happen for the past 60ish turns now.

I bet you took longer writing this post than it would have taken to copy/paste the t58 report into the report thread. neenerneener

I like this too, since we can settle that desert hill 2E of our gold quite soon, the Germans have promised us open borders, and sailing might well be our next tech after mathematics.

Did the germans say that that river leads to their lands?

Note we only get trade routes via rivers if we have Sailing.

Can we really afford to divert the commerce towards Sailing?

Edit: Oops, I'm dumb. Of course we want Sailing, it's pre-req for Calendar smoke

It's not just one post that has to get copy/pasted, you have to copy/paste all the turn reports starting with t58 down one post. That's like at least 4 post's worth of time down the drain. yikes

No, but the Germans mentioned an "eastern sea" which I'm guessing is that sea we see to the west of the WPC borders. The river is to the west of that. So I would expect the river to run close to German borders if not into them. Alternatively the river may run into the sea, and the Germans may have a city on the sea (they inquired whether we have one on the sea, which to me means that they want to get a trade connection through that sea).

StM suggested just appending the t58 report to the t57 report post, which would not require perturbing the rest of the posts.

I agree, Horse Feathers will be in need of a military police on turn 70, and nobody wants to build that unit. So I would send the warrior back to Horse Feathers.
I have to run.
