Culture comes into it somewhere. If you fight in your territory and they have no (as in 0%) cultural influence on the tile in question, then you suffer 0 WW regardless of the outcome (except if a nuke is involved - based on what mh posted).
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

Edit: You don't get WW in your own lands (places where you have majority culture). From the heading of your linked article: "1. Combat Actions: only gained where you are not Culturally dominant". I thought this was the one part of WW that's common knowledge. My bad for not mentioning it if that caused confusion.

No, WPC haven't lost a battle. Top rival in power is still 98000 since the start of T70.

Flunky = Isabella = Germans suffer from war weariness!
Sitting Bull = WPC suffers no war weariness!

I'm not going to bother saying this any more. Eventually you will figure out that it's WPC that has WW. shakehead

If the power numbers only support germans losing 2k power, then another simple option is that WPC attacked a quecha guarding two workers in german lands and won.

I'm not sure if I'm following, but does this work?

1. WPC declared war on the Germans.
2. A german unit (warrior) in neutral territory attacked a WPC unit in WPC territory and lost.
I have to run.

I think I see it now and agree the interface is not very intuitive. If you select, say WPC, on the F4 screen, then you can check WPC's suffered war weariness with each civ (assuming you are/were at war with more) and your combined WW would be the sum of the WW values of The Germans and CFC for example, correct?

In that case, you are right and I was wrong. Apologies.

And I agree that the numbers fit best with a WPC unit attacking into German territory and losing. But then how does that fit with kjn soldier points? Could there have been two civs with the top power rating?

I don't think The Germans even logged in after the war declaration.

Sounds like this happened then. Which is awesome. Does it mean it was just an opportunistic attack and not an invasion, then?

The WW display definitely means Ragnar (WPC) has the 3 WW. Trust us, that's correct. The number is on the Isabella tooltip, but that doesn't mean the WW is Isabella's. The WW is Ragnar's, and it is with respect to Isabella.

Seven, we discussed WW previously and you looked at the code and concluded that that article isn't totally correct. WW is reduced by the percentage of the tile that is your culture, so you only get 0 WW if the combat occurs on a tile where you have 100% culture. You can still get WW from combat in your territory if the tile is not 100% yours.

Oh right.

So that could make reading the WW numbers more complicated if it happens. Hopefully and probably they don't have overlapping culture to fight in though.

oh goodie. I think we expected this to happen, it really wouldnt make sense for WPC to come after us, but its good to see it finally go down.

I really hope WPC just wipes out Germans all togethor smile. It will make Sulla much happier, speed the game up considerable, and cripple WPC's economy even further smile.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.
