Small change: I don't recall the name off the top of my head, but I would like to see that Elohim building that grants a large defensive bonus to the city and a chance to have each unit built in the city get the Homeland promotion changed so that it automatically grants the homeland promotion and perhaps gives a lesser defensive bonus. It's a pretty niche building anyways, but it's one of the very few ways to get the Homeland promotion, now that Defender is gone. (Also, "Defender" really should be called "Defensive" and "Ingenuity" should be called "Ingenious." I'm not sure what to do with the words "Summoner" or "Horselord," but the others at least have fairly reasonable adjective forms).
Merovech's Mapmaking Guidelines:
0. Player Requests: The player's requests take precedence, even if they contradict the following guidelines.

1. Balance: The map must be balanced, both in regards to land quality and availability and in regards to special civilization features. A map may be wonderfully unique and surprising, but, if it is unbalanced, the game will suffer and the player's enjoyment will not be as high as it could be.

2. Identity and Enjoyment: The map should be interesting to play at all levels, from city placement and management to the border-created interactions between civilizations, and should include varied terrain. Flavor should enhance the inherent pleasure resulting from the underlying tile arrangements. The map should not be exceedingly lush, but it is better to err on the lush side than on the poor side when placing terrain.

3. Feel (Avoiding Gimmicks): The map should not be overwhelmed or dominated by the mapmaker's flavor. Embellishment of the map through the use of special improvements, barbarian units, and abnormal terrain can enhance the identity and enjoyment of the map, but should take a backseat to the more normal aspects of the map. The game should usually not revolve around the flavor, but merely be accented by it.

4. Realism: Where possible, the terrain of the map should be realistic. Jungles on desert tiles, or even next to desert tiles, should therefore have a very specific reason for existing. Rivers should run downhill or across level ground into bodies of water. Irrigated terrain should have a higher grassland to plains ratio than dry terrain. Mountain chains should cast rain shadows. Islands, mountains, and peninsulas should follow logical plate tectonics.

I also think the GPP thresholds should be back at BTS levels, and that AI religion balancing is nowhere near acheived (yes I know this is a MP mod...), they all just go straight to OO/FoL/RoK - paticularly FoL.

We'll have to see how their behavior changes with the merge of Tholal's latest.

One thing CIV V did get right was letting GPP do directed bulbs. Thoughts?

More thoughts: mokka movable (if overpowered make it require AV), lanun should be able to build coves on resources, oo can strike cities 1 tile off coast.

Not relevant, but id really like to see an always peace FFHPBEM (id like to PLAY in one too, but my computer died today frown).

Oh and a second versian of Basium, playable from start with their mercurian gate being a national wonder that creates Basium, starts the angel mechanic and provides iron. Warriors/scouts would use the elohim artwork (fits canonically).
Otoh, Id also like firaxis to release a decent civ6 with ffh3 included all before christmas...

Uh, no. OO does not need any changes. And you can already build coves on resources.
