Rant Thread!

I could not restrain myself from posting at CFC regarding my understanding of the timer.

Anyway, since this is the Rant Thread:
After all the flaming that went on in the beginning when we were against the inclusion of the mod, it now turns out that virtually no team had a clear understanding on how the whole turn split / timer thing works. Unbelievable!

Unbelievable, but this actually becomes true. They are just not playing their turn!

We've sat in Pause mode for about 24 straight hours now with no movement. Can our diplo team email the Germans and tell them they need to play their turn again or we'll be stalled here forever?

I'm about ready to unpause the game, since it's clear the German team is pathologically incapable of taking action unless the timer is about to run out.

We are in pause? Why is that?
I thought we only pause so that CFC could play their turn in time?

I say just unpause it and force them to play, or force the issue with Rolo. Idiots...

The rules say that the game should only be paused for up to 24 hours after a reload, so Germans awake or not, the timer should be legally ticking again...

Well, the rule says:
Quote:g. Game Reloads - All game reloads will trigger an automatic game pause (game admin will post such in game pause thread) for a minimum of 24 hours or until each team that logged in to the game after the reload point has stated in the game pause thread that they are ready to continue.

Somebody have fun with interpreting this.

Suggested actions:
1.) Un-pause the game right now.
2.) Post at CFC that we have done so.
3.) Write to the Germans that we have done so and that they have 17hours left and that everybody would be really, REALLY please if they could get a move on with re-playing their turn.

Okay, I guess it says a minimum of 24 hours and not a maximum of 24 hours. I must have mentally changed the rule to something that would actually make sense.
