I like the idea for ease of reviewing, though I think threads like this and signups should remain in the main forum to continue to hopefully attract new players.

I don't know how, but I completely missed this post by Brick before I then asked the exact same question smoke
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

I don't think this forum is so cluttered with threads that it needs to be further fragmented.

If I try to get a setup where the hidden groups for each game keep their thread on here, then that would probably require extra clutter and make it easier to move everything to a subforum.

wouldn't that make it easy to see who was in each faction?

I would play any, though.

I would support better documenting with regards to game scheduling.

So ... Brick -> tas -> über?

Or brick -> über -> tas? frown

It depends on whether I can get the setup to work mechanically as I've already spotted a couple of balance issues with the original concept. The idea for AvD and auction came about because I keep trying to find ways to discourage the scum strategy of "just kill the strong players early on" and having said players more likely to have some sort of defensive power might help. (I don't know if it's because power roles other than the out-of-favour Seer just aren't perceived as a threat by scum regardless of their inherent strength.)

the actual problem right now is 1) if the angel/demon knows whom the village are there's some breaking strategies and 2) if he doesn't, there's a risk of ending up with a very imbalanced PR setup if the angel and demon guess badly when handing out powers.

So throttle the power distribution, two per day max or something. You can also unlock different powers as time goes on, something like bulletproof can be distributed earlier and something like vigilante can be later. That way you get more information as you hand out the later powers. Yes, it would still be susceptible to total failure on the behalf of the person, but that's basically the inherent problem of concentrating power in one player.
