BaII cleans up THH's mess [spoilers!]

given how your land looks i doubt he could trap him even if he wanted ...

that said ... i don't quite get why you dived that deep into his lands ... you haven't met everyone, and he's not your most obvious opponent given that he aren't a neighbour

No, Fintourist had me good and trapped with two Warriors. As for why I dove so deep into his lands ... well, I didn't actually know who was down that arm; it could have been Azza (the player I haven't met) for all I knew (though I suppose I could have guessed it was Fintourist since if I recall correctly his Scout came from that direction). Once I got through the jungle into the habitable zone, well, I don't know, a fidgety desire to try my luck took me in these at times uninteresting early turns of the game. And ... my luck held!

I'm certain Fintourist was trying to trap me; the movements of his two Warriors make no sense otherwise, and one of them had been positioned on a hill overlooking the entrance to that arm, watching for new arrivals. And he succeeded ... so I took a gamble and moved my Scout onto the same tile as his Warrior, hoping he wouldn't notice it was there and wouldn't know where it had gone. Well, it seems to have worked! Here is my Scout now, having moved from the forest tile 2N of his current position:

Next stop: outta here! I've learned my lesson; I'm not risking getting trapped again! But that did serve to spice up a few turns for me!

Oh, in other news, the Workers finished the mine north of Armenelos, while Armenelos hit size four and popped out a Warrior on the same turn, and has just now started in on a Settler. I think I'm going to have the Workers chop next, then head north to mine the Copper at, uh, whatever I named my second city.

This picture should sum up what's happened since my last post. I'll post the tech tree and the city screens next time.

Swap tiles in the capital so you use the Mine instead of corn ... Romenna needs it much much more than the capital does.

Why Sailing ... there doesn't seem to be a critical need for it? ... Writing would most likely be better given Libaries to boost beakers.

What are your Workers doing? ... hopefully at least one of them is busy mining the copper ... the other should most likely start cottaging the Capital

Speaking of capital, after the worker is done, you should probably build a Granary so it can start whipping stuff (or at least growing faster) ...

Where are your settler heading?

Swap tiles, right, I forgot about doing that. I'll do it right away.

Sailing because we had made noises about going for the Great Lighthouse. I don't mind switching it if you think we should abandon that course.

Both workers are mining the copper.

The settler is heading to the northeastern location with the cluster of resources.

Right ... Great Lighthouse ...

In that case the workers should, after they're done with copper, go mine the Plain hill followed by mining the Grassland hill to the east (which by that point would get into your borders).

Okay, I'll mine the plains hill, but I don't think the grassland hill will be within Romenna's borders by then, since it's normal speed. I'll probably send them over to the new city to do something then come back.
