[SPOILERS] scooter, pindicator, and Huayna Capac try some fast Zulu cuisine

How about we just whip a half dozen impis and take it / pillage it into the ground?

It's kind of tempting actually. It would be fun. We're getting elephants sooner or later, so why not wreck him as much as we can while he just has CG archers? Maybe we should go Construction before Alphabet after all.

Played the new turn. I went ahead and roaded the desert according to Pindicator's suggestion. It's 1T longer than the grassland, but it is better for eventually settling the stone, so it's fine. INO was whipped:

The worker in this region put another turn into the plains hill mine after this. I figured it was best to mine that hill since we could use it at either city, and we're probably only using the mine when building settlers/workers anyways, so not much lost from picking plains hill over grass hill. Anyways, north Impi advanced to the desert hill:

We actually have 1 more move available here, but I saw no reason to move further. We could also move 1S from here if we want just to see if there's anything noteworthy across the water. Anyways, we have two options here. We could stay here and sentry Commodore, or we could go ahead and try to loop around to the top of Tranquil Meadow. There's a LOT of unchopped forests up there, and overall we could just cause a lot of havoc. Thoughts? The downside is he could slip a settler past us. I think we could make up for this by dispatching one of the axe/impi pair up here once our crab spot is settled.

I don't see much benefit in moving 1W from here. That gets us to the forest 1NE of the corn, and we won't want to end on that flat ground having no idea what we're walking into.

Another upside of this: there's a lot of rivers over there too, which could make it difficult for his archers to dispatch a cover Impi, even on flat ground. One downside is that he'll know it's coming, and he might be able to slip an archer up into that gap on a forest and block us off or force us to take a really risky battle.

Thoughts? I kind of want to press him a bit.

Well I think we can definitely send the impi in without much trouble. But it would also be easy to cut off our retreat with that archer moving north/south as necessary in that gap.

Technically Cynehard was the first one Commodore'd in PB5.

Oh right, true. Though starting warrior skirmishes are pretty normal - even the most peaceful players will do some warrior harassing in no-diplo games.

I'm sort of leaning towards just guarding that pass. I don't like the idea of our best unit getting trapped and being useless.

If I were you I'd leave him there. Its a long detour that'll give him plenty of warning.

Right. He knows we're there already, and his borders will give full visibility the entire time. I don't see that ending well.

Especially since he had an Agg warrior, and I was always going to have a slow start with Lincoln of Byz.

And I was dumb enough to jump into rego's war with Commodore.

You saved our bacon and I am forever in your debt bow

Honestly, if you didn't do that... Commodore probably wipes us out and you get eaten by him anyway, just later on.

You didn't watch me blunder my army. Sending you copper = wise call. Half-hearted attacks against superior-mobility Agg opponent? smoke
