Im not quite following. By findind metal or by setling a city on the halfway line? Its been a while since you posted long term strategy so Im probably behind on the objectives. I do seem to recall some land to the north of your cap though.
Not that there is anything wrong with , I am still a lurker.

Dude, the sheep city has to be some kind of kebab place. Man, I haven't had one of those things for a while.
Are there any decent kebab franchises in America?

By attacking and forcing Scooter & Pindicator to spend hammers on defence instead of growth, when they are already behind most of the other teams as far as demos go.

I can get it.

I'm not really sure that waiting for him to give us a low-odds shot and lucking out and winning it is really a sustainable strategy . I mean good for you for getting massively lucky, but I'm not going to bank on that here.

But it is fair to say that in general Commodore plays quite a high stakes game, while the players in this team are characterised more by their reliability. I put the screenshot above up because things can cut both ways. And if you followed PBEM31 closely, you'll know that once the dice had gone against Commodore, their entire game just collapsed in embarrassed heap. In short - rather than getting depressed, try to think about how to manage, or even exploit, the extra variability.)
I get what you're saying and you're right, but that really doesn't help us win this game. It might help in our duel with Commodore, but no matter what, the winner of this duel is going to be way behind Plako, Serdoa, and Lewwyn. If this was tech trading like PB5 that might be salvageable, but it isn't. The reason our thread seems depressing and Commodore's might not (I'm assuming anyways) is because our objective was to win the game and Commodore's was to beat his neighbor and finish in about 5th place.
Don't worry, we'll be fine, we're just changing objectives now. We've got a major uphill fight against us - Commodore's leader, civ, and land are all better equipped for this sort of thing (plus he's been way ahead of us in every notable demographic because his capital/traits were much better). This whole thing was just terrible timing too - I was barely around and totally unable to log into the game all week, so a lot of crucial moves were played without the full team discussion.

Turn played. Exhausted so report will be tomorrow. Pindicator, if you happen to log in before I've managed to report here and explain what I did, don't freak out, there's a thought process going on here . Short version: I'm currently daring Commodore to kill Subway at odds that are probably somewhere in the 20s if not a little higher. If he goes for it, bravo.

Well his chances of taking Subway and his chances of attacking profitably are two different things. His chances of taking Subway are about 10%. His chances of attacking profitably are probably like 30%.
