Thats harsh luck at a time where you need the rub of the green. In tight times it often comes down to karma and rooting supporters. Perhaps post 549 was the wrong decision...

No, I'm pretty sure it had nothing to do with us declaring war on Commodore.

Yeah I think fatalistic probably describes it better. I swear I'm having fun here, I'm just a realist on our survival chances here . And I may actually be the only one on this team having fun for that matter.
Ok, took a quick look inside:
Few stray thoughts: 1) Subway is going to fall, and we don't want that archer to take the gold hill at McDonalds. So I have half a mind to say take a shot at the archer with an Impi in Subway (should be a pretty easy kill), then continue onto the gold mine. 2) Ok, we have 3 workers and we need all 3 of those McDs south forests to be gone yesterday. I'm inclined to say screw inefficiency and move all 3 onto the forest 1SW of McDs and make that one be instantly gone next turn, also giving us a new unit next turn. It's better than chops all coming in at once since we'll hit overflow cap anyways. 3) I'm also thinking Subway may be worth abandoning. It has no culture bonus, so we're basically just defending flat ground at this point. Not ideal when he's got a chariot + axe around to hit us with and an infinite number of softening archers. Thoughts? I'll be hit or miss for a little while. edit: also no, he did not attack anything.
I think abandoning it is the right call. Better to save our troops. And chop those trees ASAP, i think you're right that speed is more important than efficiency.
Ok, so retreat it is. First we'll pick off this flatland archer with an Impi and the Impi will continue on to the gold. This'll give us a couple valuable XP as we inch towards a GG that might just save our bacon if we use it right. Cool. So, ATTACK:
Um.
Alright, so I carried on:
Pillaged the desert road up there with the Impi. I set Zaxby's on a chariot, fwiw. Also adjusted LLJS: So it wouldn't immediately grow into empty city unhappiness - work the mine rather than cottage. Speeds the Impi too. Anyways, we cannot let him get onto cover. So we'll need to get every forest down at all costs. That also means chopping our sugar (or w/e dumb calendar source that us) immediately too. Wish we had spare workers to get on this, but that's life in Zululand. The grim power graph of death: Brace yourselves. |
