Jokes aside, are we taking Seven's suggestion?

Also, ouch MH. Keep trying to suggest scouting path....

Sullla, last turn you decided to move Wyn from A to B risking contact if the tile with the question mark would have been a hill (which was unknown to us at that point). I pointed that risk out to you beforehand.
This turn I suggest to move from B to C, (falsely) thinking the risk of contact is the same. And this turn you argue the risk is too much. rolleye

And with a little thought while preparing the screenshot, it had occurred to me that there is no risk in contact at all moving from B to C, since we know none of the green culture tiles is a hill.
So we are safe to do that movement. Am I right on this?

And related to that movement, here is your turn report:

Especially the last days, the turn discussion thread derailed with naming schemes and Krill and how people ended up at RB, but can you point me to even one post that said not to move Wyn this turn?
Your initial suggestion was to move Wyn SW (directly to the Civplayer border) late this turn.
That was followed by 3 different votes to move SW early this turn.

I am sorry, I don't fully get that comment. Why "ouch"?

He's saying that Sulla hasn't taken any of your scouting suggestions at all.

Well, if there is a better option or a majority against it, then fine.
In instances were this is not the case, yes, it gets frustrating.

That's right, I didn't agree with your scouting suggestion last turn or this turn. As I've said about five times previously, I don't always agree with everything suggested, and many of the unit moves that do get suggested are contradictory. The turn player can't satisfy everyone. Repeatedly harping on this over and over again (with frequent use of the rolling eyes smiley) is not doing anything to make the situation better.

I do listen to all of the suggestions, and I do take advice. In this case, I didn't agree with the suggested move, and I explained my reasoning in this thread. No one else seemed to think that this was a big deal. While I appreciate different thoughts and suggestions, the constant nagging criticism and second-guessing over what are effectively trivial scouting moves are not adding much of value to the team. This whole discussion is about defogging one tile. One. Tile.

I don't think anyone means to criticize your decisions like that Sulla. It's just that, with the turns taking such a long time, there is more than enough time for the rest of us to have page-long discussions on trivial things such as scouting paths. frown

You have voluntarily taken on a prominent role in this team as the turn player. That comes with a higher exposure to comments and critique compared to an occasional poster.

If you write "that there is a consensus not to move" a unit, when in fact there was not a single post to that effect, I will point that out.

There was a consensus: no one else posted asking to move the unit. You were the only one. And I disagreed. I always listen to the group. If only one person asks to do something, I don't feel obligated to make that move if I disagree, which I did in this case.

But I'm tired of this argument. You win, mostly_harmless. I'm willing to do what you say just to shut you up because you're bugging the crap out of me.

There's your one revealed tile. Now can we please move on to discussing things that actually matter?

Can I just say - this isn't just a Sullla thing, guys. Some of you are just a little too tightly wound, and on one or two occasions I've been about ready to be done with the diplo thing for similar reasons. Considering that role is much less pressure/activity than turn-playing, I can imagine turn playing is probably more than a bit obnoxious. There's really no reason to get bent out of shape because a turn player handled a scouting unit slightly differently than you would have wanted. If there's no obvious consensus and/or strong opinions, turn player gets final say and that's that. If you think the turn player repeatedly does a poor job of exercising his "final say" rights, then nominate someone else to take his place, but I don't think anybody wants that here - Sullla has been great.

I don't think any of you have bad intentions or anything, just know that consistently second-guessing once a decision has been made gets pretty old. Ok, if the turn player randomly declares war on somebody then yeah, second-guess that lol. But if we're just talking a scouting unit, ease up. It's not a big deal if your suggestion gets seemingly ignored a couple times.

I could have easily left it at that, but your overreaction puts me in a bad spot:
