We had the same thing with our city of Blues Brothers in PB5 - it was pushing into Krill's culture, even though it was like 3rd or 4th ring across water, due to the fact that Krill's capital area was on the same landmass (just along way around a bay)

You remembet what happened last time we tried this, right?

Yeah I'm fully expecting his initial attack on our GG with full fortify bonus to be a flawless win or something ridiculous like that. It's coming, just be ready for it. Perhaps we should even prepare a nice table so we're all set to flip it when it happens.

More or less status quo this turn. Report will come tomorrow morning as it's getting late and I'm tired.

Alright, here's things I did last night.
As planned. Border pop due in 10T at which point we can mine that copper. That'll be really useful actually - we can probably sell that copper for something pretty useful if we make some more contacts. I put LJS in research for the turn because we really need Construction asap.
Catapults, save us. Also, here goes nothing:
I'm a lot less enthusiastic about this now that this is a chariot/impi rather than axe/impi, but whatever, it's better than just sitting here. I popped in real quick to see if Commodore did anything big this turn, but nope, he just sat there. Interestingly, I haven't seen his GG yet. He got it quite awhile ago... Settling it would be kind of dumb IMO, so he's holding out. Might be saving it for a few shock ballistaphants which would just be lights-out for us.
side-note: the reporting frequency in this game is really, really great. Just about everyone reports with some frequency. Looking forward to reading those post-game.

Yeah, thanks for the consistent updates.
Lighthouse before granary? Didn't we have this discussion in PB5?
I have to run.

Commodore never ever settles his GGs. It's always units. He likes to wait sometimes though.

They're both +2fpt for this city.
If there wasn't war i'd probably have gone granary before ikhanda, but ideally we won't be whipping this city.

Heh, yeah I remember the discussion. Under the circumstances though, I was fine with Lighthouse first here.
