I can't see how this "invade India" plan has any chance of working. I mean I get that it's something fun to do and a goal to have but it seems more likely to just cause Jester / Nakor some pain, knock THEM out of any chance of winning and net with 0-1 cities

It won't do anything for them. And 10 land units is just nothing. TBH I'd be a bit pissed off with them if I were playing in the game.

The Zulu plan... Um, yeah. Not a good plan.
I have to run.

Also...they have to go via those two northern one tile islands, and they can not just pop up out of the fog. They basically end up having to try to invade along the same vector that Space would have invaded India by: and that is exactly where India ought to have most of their army.

Desperate I guess to make a mark on the game.
All it'll really do is guarantee that Serdoa and Plako will be the two top dogs of the game.

It's a GREAT plan... for Commodore. After Scooter railed about how Commodore's strategy was doomed, he's handing Commodore the best possible result of the war.
Oh, you mean how it'll work out for Zulu? Yeah, I'm not optimisitic.

India's cities are currently garrisoned by single Warriors, so with an element of surprise, Scooter does have a decent chance of gaining a foothold, even with India dry-whipping as many defenders as it can muster. Scooter's biggest problem is that nobody has India's map except India, so they'll be invading blind: However, India's core cities are in the fogged area of the map closest to Scooter, so if they gamble on locations, they will find precisely the cities they need. Will they gamble? They may have to.
(Edit: Although looking more closely at the map I see what Krill means - although it looks like they should have a clear run directly east, actually there is a gap in the water. Messy. I counted 18 coastal tiles between Scooter's White Castle and India's capital, which implies 10 turns from loading their army to potentially conquering the Indian capital. Even if they guessed the location accurately, that's a lot of turns to hold off Commodore.)
Whether Scooter can make any sort of long-term game from this is very questionable indeed. Even if Scooter holds cities, those will take time to become productive, which will prevent any rapid elimination of India. Without outright conquest of the relatively little "Indian" land, neither Scooter nor India will be able to stand up against the first major power to knock on their door. Easy pickings for Serdoa, surely? But it is clear that Scooter isn't too bothered about the long term: They're proposing this to keep their game alive, and it would take some sort of miracle for Commodore not to steam-roller over their empire within the next 20 turns. If nothing else, it will be fun to watch.
Finally, a request to lurkers: Please be exceptionally carefully if posting in India's thread. They have largely played without global lurker involvement, so even a sudden interest in their game may trigger doubts as to what is afoot.
