In case it's not clear or I didn't write it down earlier; the mistake that pretty much ended my game was when I didn't vote Defy on the concordant force-peace business. My Happiness was so tight, but if I had spent some time thinking on it, I would've realized that I needed to push my advantage immediately and I could swap to free market and basically handle the problem by tanking my tech, instead of my MFG, which is what I thought would happen. That gives me more turns of Str. 4 Genites and Tanks v. Maniac's impact troopers and gets me to at least Gargopoli, which I think woud've broken Maniac (thoughts Maniac?).

Well, it came from trade, but I don't recall who. I was fairly liberal in my map trades. Probably one of the AIs though. Are you sure you never did a 1 for 1 with anyone?
