One variant I think would be fun to boost the start (don't have time to play sorry - happy to dedlurk) is to start everyone with a centaur slave.

I would be interested in playing. I have not played any multiplayer Civ games before, and I enjoy the thought of starting. I have a little bit of Eitb singleplayer experience.

Q, given that i'm not deep into the mod i doubt variants would make it any easier to understand ... bog standard game should work nicely

Heh, its not intended as a variant really, just a way to speed up the start in a interesting way.
Sometimes we've started with a shade, two settlers, advanced start, why Mnot a race:centaur slave?

Still interested.
No MP exp, and no EiTB SP either. But a bit of regular FFH.
Prefer:
Little/no diplo, even AW.
Natural map, minor modifications, not mirrored.
Quick, and fine with sped up/anti-rush start measures too.

But can tolerate much either way

I am interested.

I have minimal MP experience, absolutely no experience with either FFH or EiTB, but I have been interested for a little while in playing Perpentach in an MP game... as long as Diplomacy is allowed. :P

(I'd also greatly appreciate it if someone could point me to the most current/best version of the appropriate mod to download and install. I see a thread in the EitB Mod section, of course, but I want to be sure that's the right one.)
