WW20: Legend of the Undercity

Well that was a disappointlingly short night. Am now watching novice explore on the TV with my youngest at 5.50 A.M.

This place reeks of death

Not much action in the night, that is. First a notice of absense - today/saturday I'll be pretty busy, and no serious (non-phone) access. Got a friend coming in from Sweden, so we'll be drinking blood...curdlingly cold drinks and generally not playing forum games. Sunday evening/night, leading up to the lynch, I'll be available. In fact lynchtime is pretty much my designated playtime in the day, where I can read & crossreference & vote and generally NOT lurk. No guarantee for right votes, but at least thought-out honest ones. Otherwise I'll be able to keep up-to-date by phone but a bit more awkward to post from that apart from simpler messages. And whenever my youngest decides that sleep is for wusses I'll get some shifts in before work too.

Still voting for BRick for having 'highest influence' so I'm still in the joke vote stage. All those 5's sure points towards a random roll, even though I thought one value almost too good to be true...

And so far lol to Bigger & Zakalwe (and uberfish, chickens&catacombs) and gj to others for acting. Excessive roleplay to the detriment of the game is one thing, but I for one signed up to have fun so I'll be a Necromancer .

Lewwyn has made what I deem the first non-random vote, for someone not voting, which is easy, so that means he is either trying to get the real game going...or trying to appear that way...

Hm. I was under the impression we were eliminating Witches.

Or their familiars, I guess. For which Bigger and Ichabod would appear to fit the bill rather well.

HEYYY!!!!

Well I never! No self-respecting fairy has ever worked with a witch! nor any other evil creature! we are only attached to brave forest boys and girls, and always loyal to the Princess!

LISTEN!!! You should keep having fun. A fairy somewhere gets her wings clipped whenever you break character :/.

Fssssssss......

Given that everyone presumably has a role related somewhat to their character, is it too much of a stretch to say that the scum could be determined from the characters? For example, GlaDOs, looking just at the character, is evil. Would this translate to being scum?

Although, on further thought, I guess we can wait til we get a few lynches to try and identify a pattern there. But worth keeping in mind for the future IMO.

I doubt it. If it were as simple as that, then that would probably be an unfair advantage for town. I think it more likely that roles are only loosely related to some characteristic of the character. Also, your character is obviously the evilest of them all nod

From Grand Maester Mord's treatise on the racess:
Fairies, while seemingly with good potential, fail as useful subjects for re-animation. In skeletall forme wings cannot bear any weight. Zombiefication and subsequent losse of dexterity means flying impossible. While magick of the highest level can cause a spectral flying being to appear, the same magick canne for same effort be used on Dragonne corpses for far more powerful dracoliches. Further researched discouraged.

Yeah, not the case at all. Plus, if that was then this could be meta-gamed out severely, which would neither be fair nor fun.

Ok. Moral of the story, creepers can't read.

While the homicidal robot, with her often fatal tests purportedly intended for scientific advancement, is undeniably a blight on this earth that we need to eradicate, is a creature whose only known point of existence is to locate the nearest sentient being and proceed to detonate themselves with the intent of causing possibly fatal harm to said being any better? If anything, I'd say it's worse - at least the robot has a thinly veiled excuse for what she's doing...

Azza for willful disregard of both GM statement and general common sense about balance - to the point where an attempt at deliberate misdirection appears the most likely explanation.
(though, if your proposal was actually well-intentioned, I have a nice bridge over here I'd love to sell you)
