When would building a Market in Mansa's Muse be worthwhile? ... with the gold even ~50% together with Shrine my napkin math says that its worth it asap (say ... after Great Wall)

Is moving H to the plains hill 2W of Focal Point a useful option? That doesn't waste any worker turns. Fake edit: Oh Seven already clarified that.

Sullla's recommendations wrt. research, axe movement, city placement and tile management seem good to me.

What does worthwhile mean? 150 hammers is a pretty hefty investment, after all. smile
The market+shrine combo is only worth 1-2gpt currently, less than the palace+market combo. If we had the option between building a market in AO and units in MM, or doing it the other way around, I'd rather have the market in AO. It also has more use for the +1 happy from silks.

But yeah, MM should definitely get a market. Eventually. wink

Sullla Wrote:As mentioned last turn, I do not want to push the Eastern Dealers axe another tile north to scout. We're very thin on units in this area for the moment, until a war chariot can get up here from our core. If the ED axe goes north, we can't stop the pigs from getting pillaged by a barb walking out of the fog. We'll simply have to wait and explore that tantalizing gems/rice/dyes area in a few more turns.

Yes we can. If a barb appears just move the axe back 1S. Then the axe is in range of the wheat for the following turn, when our worker finishes the road on that tile.

This is important to do for two reasons.

1) If there is a critical resource like marble in those 2 fogged tiles, we find out about it a turn sooner.
2) We get to find out if there is a barb next to the gems tile this turn instead of next turn. If we don't move the axe this turn and a barb appears in the south, it means we can't move the worker onto the gems without risking his demise. Whereas if we do move the axe N this turn, we'll know next turn whether we can safely move the worker onto the gems or not.

WAR SCOOTER. This must be done.

Anyways, I pretty strongly prefer red dot over blue.

Also, all I saw at first was somebody posting with a Dora avatar. I nearly just skimmed past it because why would I want to read anything written by Dora. Then I realized they were saying pretty smart-sounding things, and I did a double-take. Was not expecting the username that goes with the Dora avatar to be novice. lol

Prefer Red dot. Move Eastern Dealer axe 1N per 7 Spirits' logic.

War scooter is totally apt. thumbsup

Other than the imo necessary axe move, and I think it would be good to build wealth in FF this turn. But, I'm it's not important and the plan doesn't rely on it.

I think we should move the axe out too. Finding marble would be huge...

Alright, we're finished with this turn and looking very good for the next half-dozen turns or so.

Unfortunately nothing interesting showed up north of Eastern Dealers. Can't win 'em all. alright

And here's a view of the workers/settler party going on in the south of our territory. I wonder what CFC will be thinking when they see that... We'll be settling both cities on T98, so I would let them know what we're doing on T97, too late to do anything about it.
