WW20: Legend of the Undercity

1. That was a double-post, just with much time between because I had written it before I've gone in the shower and just hit reply. But when I came back (yes, I shower this long, my wife nags me about it all the time, you don't have to as well...) it showed still the "Post a New Reply"-window with the mouse-cursor being an egg-timer. So I hit "Post Reply" another time. Obviously it had sent the message already and my IE just didn't load the page for whatever reason (not the first time, but normally I don't leave that much time between, so that the forum tells me that I have already posted this message).

2. "Incompetent Seducer" is imo just a circumscription for zaks character Larry Laffer. Because that guy surely was an incompetent seducer. Thats why the player had to help him (afaik, never played those games, just read about them). I don't think this name gives ANY hint to his role at all, or rather it does not give any more hints than we have due to the character zak choose (because we know that uberfish gave powers out to the characters and at least those of my character are loosely tied to how he is described in books and games).

I actually expected zak to have some kind of neighbour-role with one of the players having a female character.

I do believe Ichabod when he said he was trying to do just that. Was he playing unusually, and likely sub-optimally? Sure. He may have even looked a little bit suspicious while doing so. But he has started making serious in-depth posts and I do want to see where he's going with his amazing argument he supposedly has in store for us.

Additionally, Brick's right - Lewwyn and Mattimeo haven't been posting too much. They've kinda just been skating by under the radar, haven't they? Not necessarily a scum tell, but I'd still like to hear a bit more of what their thoughts are.

Don't have a formed opinion on Molach yet, haven't read the Quick Topic, nor the final part of day 1 with care. Will do so. Probably...

Bigger attack on me is almost comic. Sorry if you are not a wolf, Bigger. I hate you if you are. My stance is: too bad a case to be wolf. For now at least...

I'm still reviewing Gazglum. That post I quoted from Gaius speaks a bit in his favor, I think. His attack against me is expected play as a wolf and expected play as village, so it's a null tell.

Ichabod, I don't know your alignment right now of course, but it would really help me when you could explain why you made that big announcement about your case in the night when now you seem to not actually having all that much to show - even retracting one of your scum tells on Gazglum, calling it a null tell now. In the night it sounded like you would have a big relevation, an eye-opener for all villagers. But .. there is nothing now. I don't blame you for that, but I would really like to understand why you made that annoucement in the way you did. I mean the tone of your posts.

But I agree with your point on Gaius. That post was scummy, especially this part

"They've kinda just been skating by under the radar, haven't they?"

Typical wolf-behaviour to ask the village for agreement.

I'm still working on the posts and I haven't reached the ones I've found more suspicious. And I didn't retract a scum tell on Gazglum, because the post where he attacks me is from day 2, not day 1. On day 1 he only voted for me based on nothing much. On day 2, he made a big case (that I could see him doing either as a wolf or as a villager, therefore is a null tell).

Didn't want to offer that info as I didnt think it would help the village at all, just send people off on a wrong path, but right now I don't know my alignment.

Wow. crazyeye

I would have no idea how to play that. Is that a believable role?

Didn't you fear getting nightkilled night 1, especially with your power role hinting? A full claim yesterday would have ensured your survival until today.

Wow, Just wow. I asked you have in jest. Did not expect you to admit it. Pretty sure my response in your situation would just be "oh yes I'm a villager yes'm yessir."

I actually wonder if we should just policy lynch jkaen here. I think there's at least a 50% chance he'll be scum when he regains his memory. Mostly because that roll is just that much more fun to design, as a GM, if he's going to "wake up" to be scum.

Any wolves alive - can you tell me how many of you there are? That would let be the biggest clue as to Jkaen's alignment, and very helpful - thanks!!
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

As I said right now I am playing as the best villager I can, hence I shouldn't be lying to the village.

Lynching me on meta here at this point is just stupid.

I would argue my 25% is more likely correct than your 50% but even so lets say I am a wolf, what info are you going to get from my lynch. literally nobody in this game knows my alignment right now, hence how on earth could you read into any votes or comments about me.

Surely the best approach if I am scum is to see if my behaviour changes towards anybody once I have my memory, as you have a village baseline from this game for me right now, therefore its surely easier to spot if I switch approach

a) We have to believe you that you don't know your alignement. you could easily be a wolf who - with his daring comment - tries to get save cover.

b) As you youself stated you are trying your best village-game and would do so equaly as wolf. So i wonder what difference we would have a chance to spot.

@novice re "Suspicion on Meiz"- It got overrruled by a stronger suspicion (Ichabod). And his posts afterwards make me lean more villlager on him. Currently no reason to return to it.

And then some more:

Currently 7 out of 18 players have no voted. I don't like that. It is bad play for the village.

Concerning votes: Tasunke (makes it 3:3) Reason: His reasons given for his Gaspar (and now Meiz vote)
(February 1st, 2013, 19:34)Tasunke Wrote: Bah. What I was SAYING was that I might not want Zakalwe to DIE so SOON! bah. Wolves, hear me out. Don't kill him (or me for that matter). Well fuck that, go ahead and kill me cause yall NEVER EVER DO IT!!! NYANYANYANYANYAAAAAA tongue ... go head. I DARE YOU TO!!!!!!

Anyways Gaspar, after my vote I had realized that it had put him in first place. I know its early day but still ... kinda freaked me out I guess. But your right. If I want HIM to live. I must place my vote ELSEWHERE.

WELL NOW. Guess where it will go ... hmm? Thats right, Im thinking GaSpAR
's head would look pretty good on a pike right now. >: )

Dragon Breath ... GO! BURNINATE HIM! MUAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

(February 2nd, 2013, 15:05)Tasunke Wrote: I think Meiz, Flug_auto, and Gaspar all look scummy. But ... I dunno. I feel like Flug_auto is a set-up of some kind. Not sure which. Just doesn't feel right imho. There are about 7 wolves this game right? Hmm, or maybe 2 packs of 4, or 3 packs of (2-3) ... guess it depends on how strong the powers are. I'm not sure. But I feel like this is the perfect recipe for a multi-faction game. Imma gettin paranoid just thinkin a bout it. So I dunno ... its hard to say.

Due to Gaspar's heavy RP, at least early on (go Italiano go!) I'm thinking he is more likely the wolf but .... which wolf? of which pack? Can we get a confirm of how many alignments are in the game? If its mentioned somewhere I apologize, must have just missed it.

Anyways, Meiz seems like a good place for a vote, but I dunno, should we vote Gaspar instead? He'd be a pretty scary wolf imho, while I haven't much experience with a Meiz wolf (at least not that I can remember). Anyways, I think we should hang him high ... Gaspar that is. Cause I don't wanna see a Gaspar wolf let loose. >_>

(maybe we can kill at least one wolf of one of the packs ... or the one big one, or hell, I don't even know >_< )

(February 2nd, 2013, 15:18)Tasunke Wrote: Either way, we need to lynch Meiz and Gaspar ASAP. Its just SO clear they are working together >_> .... <_< .... >_> ....

It is quite usual to hide 1 real scummy in your listings as scum.

Rowain,

a) Why not just say to bigger I am village

b) Right now its easier to play as a villager as I don't know who the scum are. If I flick scum then maybe my attitude towards certainly players suddenly switches, for example in 12 hours if I suddenly decide Tansuke looks 100% innocent and all his posts I agree with then you should question why did i change my mind from where it is now to my new stance, what new information did i get?

I don't get how this is wolfish. I said I thought your D1 play probably was better explained by you RPing and trying to have fun with this game, rather than you being scum. But either way, you started making good posts, and I was curious as to what you had up your sleeve.

As to the second part:

This question was intended to be purely rhetorical. It was meant to be my way of agreeing that Lew and Matt hadn't been posting much. I was not looking for, nor expecting, somebody to agree/disagree with me. Looking back, however, I can understand how it could be seen that way, which was something I didn't consider at the time.
