[SPOILERS] Lurkerloos and map discussion

Having looked again at India plans, I agree with Timski. I thought there was a trireme completing in IW this turn, but no. Also FG is obviously not the same as CG, so that trireme wont help either.

Sucks to be India.

To reiterate India's weakness:

1. Without Archery India are reliant on Axes and Spears for defense.
2. But India's only native source of metals is at IW, which is about the only city we can be sure will fall to Scooter in the opening act of the war.
3. India has insufficient contacts to guarantee being able to trade for Copper or Iron.
4. Without metals India is defending with Chariots and, er, Warriors. Against an invading army that consists primarily of Impi. You do the maths.

While Scooter's plan would fail against an opponent who was prepared for war, India is not prepared. Not militarily, nor tech-wise, given its reliance on one vulnerable resource. What worries me is that this game will go down in history like Sullla's pink dot: Ostensibly a terrible strategy, that just happened to work in one game because the opponent had played in a very particular manner.

ScooPin's plan *will* fail as far as keeping them alive long term. The more damage India takes the easier the game gets for Commodore and/or Plako.

Regarding Scoop's plan, why didnt they leapfrog the 2nd wave at least to the pl-hill island? That's an extra 2t of transit that wasn't necessary for the 2nd wave. just to save unit support?

Hi, long time lurker here but was prompted to register by this game which is really epic.
What seems to me the most bizzare part of India defensive strategy is that they have built a bunch of axes but, I think, NO SINGLE SPEAR. It really looks like a bad SP habit.
I'm pretty sure that they are going to survive in the end but this attack will really through them behind.

They have a defensive strategy built for grey barbs... not the yellow ones. Find another game where 2 teams FIRST met because of 7 loaded galleys.

If you were playing India, would you be ready? I sure wouldn't.
