So, scooter, does this mean your combat luck is only bad against Commodore?

Are we close to another GG?

Okay, things are going smoothly. Here's my favorite part of the turn:

The catapults just moved 6 tiles by sea and axes 3 tiles in the age of boats that only move 2 tiles. Yay for logistics. They are technically all able to hit FoF the turn after the 2-movers can, so we've got some decent backup coming in case we run into trouble on T119. We also brought 2 spare galleys up in case he has a galley or two he wants to take a shot with. We weren't sure how galley targeting worked (which would defend - empty galleys or full galleys), so to be safe I put the units in the galleys that display lower in the order. Anyone know for sure how galleys determine which one will defend? Anyways, here's our main group:

We're bringing along the worker here - figure we could use him as a throwaway scout rather than burning a promo on sentry. We're going to attack FoF anyways as capturing GLH is our only real hope here, so there's not much gain in seeing a little extra this turn.

CFCJester saw me log in and promptly jumped into the game to watch, and kinda just typed random things into the chat box while I was playing lol. Slightly annoying, but I wasn't going to poke the beehive and ask him to leave while I played, so I just ignored it. Anyways, he got to see that bizarre galley shuffle playing out, so hoepfully that was entertaining for him at least.

Hopefully we get another turn in tonight so we can get visibility on the cap and start simming!

I just let scooter know that the only reason we were able to chain those catapults up all the way on this turn was because of his mistake back on turn 112 lol

Hard to call that a mistake now!

Hah, that's actually been my running theory for awhile. It started in a string of crucial bad rolls in my duel with him, and then it seamlessly continued in this game right when that duel ended. I remember many times both in the duel and early on in this game sending him chat messages to the effect of "RELEASE THE CURSE ON ME ALREADY, IT'S GONE ON ENOUGH." lol

Not really - counter is at 19/60 right now.

I love how we're #2 in soldiers. We all know who #1 is...

Approval rate looks even more hilarious...

I believe the galleys will defend in the order they appear on the unit display with all other things being equal.

That is the greatest GNP ever lol.

Being #2 in soldiers with no HBR, no IW, and 4 population is actually really impressive.

Loaded boats are less likely to defend than empty ones. I don't remember the specifics.
