Fair enough ... but our internal discussions have a habit of getting a life of their own and then leaking into our attitude ...
P1: Demand for stone waiting in game
P2: Demand! Bastards should be demanding - they can request it ... 'demanding it' hfff!
P3: Typical CFC attitude - throwing their weight around, demanding our stone
etc
I have finally decided to put down some cash and register a website. It is www.ruffhi.com. Now I remain free to move the hosting options without having to change the name of the site.

It's not as bad as calling Starfall "Pink Dot," and we survived that.

Here's a thought I had that I wanted to share. At the moment, we are in a great position to win. There is however one thing that could stop us and that is the Apostolic Palace and a religious diplo victory. It's not that likely, but it would be something outside our control. I would like us to think and try to plan to deal with this. The options that came to my mind are:
1) Build AP ourself, not likely.
2) Raze the city with the AP.
3) Spread the AP religion to have enough weight and block a victory.
I don't have a lot of experience with the AP (never used it in an SP game for example), but I'd like to hear from the people that have. Here at RB we don't play much with the AP, but in this game I think that if someone were to pull that off, it would end the game.

AP victory can only be proposed if:
1) All civilizations have less than 60% of the faith's population. (Actually it might be 75%, not sure about this.)
2) Every civilization in the game has at least one city with that faith.

@Noble: I didn't know the exact conditions (thanks). It sounds hard to pull off, but it can still be an option later on in the game for someone like CP. For example, we have one confucian city already. However, I agree that we don't need to worry too much for now.

didn't theology just gget founded by civ players? I wouldnt mind building it just for the hammers, although civ players will beat us to it if they wish. but since they are our neighbor we can always conquer them long before their religion spreads worldwide.

4) Thru diplo and free missionaries (even if they aren't Hindu) ensure that the AP religion doesn't get adopted by other nations. AP victory is impossible if more than 60% (I think) of the religion's followers live in the host nation.

I misphrased my earlier list of conditions, it's fixed now.

Hmm, I'm seeing multiple places where it says the threshold is 75%, which is easier to get under. That is slightly worrying. The usual way of avoiding AP victory is gifting away your cities that have the religion to someone else, but we'd need someone to accept the cities...

I don't understand what 1) means. Does that mean more than 60% of the AP religion cities must have adopted that religion as their state religion? as in, many people adopting free religion would shut the AP down effectively?
