As for units, do you mean which 6 in addition to the cats? Cause we're bringing 8, right?
Well no, we wanted one galley to be empty to keep from 2 units getting sunk by their galley, remember?
I guess we could move the staging tile up 1N and drop a unit on that 1 tile island to check for the galley?

Ok that seems like an obvious solution. Here's what I mean:
To recap, I'm still concerned about his galley being in range of our galley and taking the shot at sinking 2 units. He'd have no reason not to try. However, by moving the southern galley up 1, I moved the staging tile 1N from its original spot. I also loaded 1 unit (the C2 Shock chariot) onto the galley. That means next turn when we move forward, if we don't see his galley, we could drop a chariot onto that 1 tile island to see if it's around. If not, we're safe to sit 7 units on staging tile and drop them all off. If there is, we empty the strongest galley (the full health C1 galley) so we have 2 units camped on that plains island and we drop 6 off next to FG. Then we just reload. Point is - I don't want land units exposed to a galley attack at all.
Does that seem reasonable?

Sounds good, but I'm not sure the C2 Shock chariot is the best choice as the scout.

It was the only possible choice.
edit: this is not entirely true

Nakor played turn, and I moved some tile micro around but did nothing else.
For our units, I think we should bring 8 regardless. Definitely both catapults and 6 more units. I would put the 2 units we wouldn't mind losing in the C1 galley (like an impi and a chariot, most likely). We can unload the shock chariot on the one tile island to get sight into the city -- but PLEASE remember to board the catapult that's in JJ first. No idea why that guy is all the way back. Then after the chariot unloads we can move an impi up to board as well.

Reason for this is I'm being paranoid. That tile the galley is sitting in could be sunk out of the fog. My main fear all along has been that they would use the GG on a super galley and sink critical units. So this is why I've been leaving all the galleys as empty as possible. Only reasons we would load one unit in advance would be so it would have movement points available today to land on the island.
I'll jump in now and take a look.

He's got 2 archers, a galley, and a settler somewhere out there. I'm really not sure where the second archer could be. Or, let me rephrase. He has a galley, settler, and 6k of power out there. He will almost assuredly finish an archer EoT (he gets most of it purely from overflow), but a 3 unit garrison is... not very scary.
(I see Pindicator's post now, yeah it's gotta mean trireme + 1 archer is the 6k)
Anyways, the chariot lets us know that we are safe, so we brought up 8 units:
It's still possible he used the GG on the trireme, in which case he could still sink units. So I've got 2 impis on the top defender - if we lose them, whatever. I whipped Sid's Sushi as planned:
Our happy cap is about to be massive here, so we should really get the granary in here and let it start growing soon since it has an abundance of really great tiles. Here's a city overview look after the whip:
Lots of happy faces, and those are all about to go up by a couple once India is gone, and it'll go up again when Monarchy comes in (wines and eventually HR). Happy cap will not be an issue, so it's about whipping in necessary buildings and then growing into it as best we can.
