[SPOILERS] scooter, pindicator, and Huayna Capac try some fast Zulu cuisine

I think we can definitely conclude they attached the GG to something. It's a question of whether they attached it to a boat, or if the settler is accompanied by a super archer.

Random aside: do captured fast workers keep the mobility promotion? I guess not since we already captured one?

Maybe they settled it for us? (and then went on to build a settler instead of more units...)

Edit: @Noble, no they do not

I'm actually not so sure about this. We haven't captured any workers from them - they've deleted them all. In vanilla fast workers do not remain fast workers, but we're talking about a promotion here in RBMod. Are you sure the promo doesn't stick around?

We captured one when we landed at IW.

Just took a peek in game and confirmed it - none of our workers have promotions

Thanks Athlete! It's a bit of a surprise that we've come this far, but it's been a hell of a ride smile

Scooter, I took a peek before heading out the door for work. There is a trireme and a galley, both are 1N of FG. It looks like he finished his archer in FG and then loaded the axe on the galley (???). Not sure what is going on there, but we should be able to land and keep the galleys out of the range of his trireme. Oh, and no evidence that he's used that GG - no units have promotions, and none are covered in a blue aura.

I'm not sure what you mean about loading the axe onto the galley. I logged in and took a picture:

It's there. Anyways, their units consists of:
1 galley - visible
1 trireme - visible
1 axe in FG
2 archers in FG
1 fast worker in FG
1 unaccounted for archer
1 unaccounted for GG
1 unaccounted for settler

The most logical conlusion is they attached the GG to an archer to make a super archer, then loaded super archer + settler onto the galley. This turn they dropped it onto what I'm assuming must be silk island, and then returned the galley/trireme pair.

Side-note: if only catapults could attack amphibiously, I'd be lobbying for us to do this amphibiously and end it this turn. Unfortunately that's not really an option.

So I guess we move the galleys E-SE and drop onto the workshops. That unfortunately does mean they'll settle a city in the first half of next turn, and it'll be defended by a lone super archer.

The problem with moving that way to deposit onto the workshop is that their trireme can then respond by moving SW-S onto a tile we cannot escape from. So we are going to lose a galley regardless here. So... we may consider just moving directly at the trireme before dropping off our units. Any thoughts on that? I figure if we're going to lose a galley to a trireme, we might as well be positioned as ideally as possible. Or do you see another solution? FG will fall on T138 for sure, it's just a matter of setting ourselves up to raze silk city ASAP.

I must have misread that this morning

See your point about the trireme. Worst case would be him attacking with both galley and trireme and winning both. But if we unload then there isn't much we can do. But i don't see a good alternative either. As for best position ... that may be E-NE..... That would give our survivors the option to run away if he attacks and stays in place. E-E would not be able to run
