Google search says "mahabrata" should be spelled "mahabharata", but I don't thin it is a big deal anyways.
It's a pity the team didn't start further east, as we could have called a city Monkey!

no. we actually only have a thin stretch of land preventing us from getting circumnavigation (which would be awesome, since our unique unit is a galleon and naval warfare will be important late game). But I don't think its possible until caravels.

I wrote a note in the game w/ the proper spelling, I just didn't remember it off hand. Still looking for a English translation of mahabharata and the Iranian epic too, but I'll be ok w/ some native spellings.

Song of Roland got a Jew spread! Woot.
I've decided to switch Odyssey to a wealth build to grow for 3 turns and preserve 12(15) overflow for a forge which will end up being 30h. We do not need the WE right now. I'm confident that A) we can handle Azza's forces and B) he isn't coming after us right now. Also we have 2 WEs that can be whipped in odyssey and Aenid in case of attack. No probs.

oh thank goodness (the Jew spread). Hopefully it will spread over buddhism in the new city, then we'll only have to bother with one missionary for popol.
I like the forge plan. we'll need to build a lot of buildings over the next 20 turns. hammer cities can skip market/library and some cities can skip barracks or courthouse, but I think every city will need a forge..
honestly Im convinced we're ok w/ azza now, more worried about serdoa tbh hehe.

I won't have time to log in until tonight or tomorrow... but it looks like from civ stats that Brick took a city from Serdoa? wtf, haha.

Crikey, who knew BRick was such a machine!
Is it possible for religion to spread to a city that already has one?

Not passively, spreading requires a missionary and failure rate increases the more religions are already present within the city.

Every single city is building a forge.
Azza is farming on the border covered by a lot of units. Not worried so Bigger don't freak out.
Settler will settle marble site next turn. Need more settlers I think.
We are teching CoL at 50% only 3t. It's taking Azza 5t. I think we're headed to CS. CoL then CS.
Things look good. Every city is abundantly happy.

yep, CS, then machinery, then maces!!
glad we're finally pulling ahead of azza in techs. agree about more settlers. was thinking gilgamesh or iliad should pop out 2 (one for fishing village north of song of roland, one for the island city) so popol only needs 2. and maths can build the one for the western tundra city.
haven't been able to log in hte past few days, but I'll check it out tomorrow morning. sounds like you have things under control anyway .
