Ok I should've known from memory but I so rarely use Drill... but anything down that path is notably better for us odds-wise. So if he's doing anything other than C1 + CG3, the results are even more in our favor. So yeah, we should definitely do this.

In case you want the save to mess around with, here's the save I made for right before promos are assigned. It's just set up as a hotseat game.
https://dl.dropbox.com/u/5826112/PB8/san...dSwordSave edit: I should warn you, there's probably a 65% chance I did something critically wrong in this sandbox. I suck at sandboxing.
I'm the same way with sandboxes. Which is probably why i prefer figuring it out with pen and paper
Speaking of whih, i have a granary plan for Sid's Sushi. I also think we should follow the granary with a temple to speed along our great person. If i didn't mess up, we should be able to get a GP at 33% / GM at 67% on eot159. A GM could be used to bulb CS at that date. Oh, i did't figure in MC and a eng spec too. I bet we can speed that up a few turns...

OK, Pindicator seems in favor, and the data says it will probably work, so I did it:
The upside of saving all our galleys is pretty great. Gonna be prettttty awkward if they landed them elsewhere and we find out there's nothing on this silk island . In theory they could have landed on that 1 tile island which would have been a PAIN to attack amphibiously + all those promos, but given where their boats are, that seems extremely unlikely. I also landed us on FG island: Now, I have an idea here. One thing they could still do is whip in a warrior or something I think, which would give them 1 more defender than we can kill (or we could just lose a bad dice roll). How about we load up the chariot onto that galley now? That way we could clean up the last unit amphibiously if needed. The chariot is C2 + Shock so it'll have a pretty real shot at killing a warrior amphibiously. I can't think of a reason not to do this, but to be safe I have not yet done it (or ended turn). Any objections to loading the chariot onto the now-empty galley right now? On the domestic side, here is a look at Sid's: With appropriate food + hammer shots added on. Go nuts, Mr. Spreadsheet. Pig city will be settled next turn: Workers just completed the jungle chop, and they will immediately begin pasturing the pig. Jimmy Johns is whippable, but given its non-existant food surplus, that seems like a bad idea. The Lighthouse will finish before sz3 anyways. Yes I realize Five Guys is waiting on the WB here, but JJ is a much more important city IMO. Boston Market got its second chop: Hello granary. Lighthouse next. (edit note: this was crossposted with Pindicator)
Awesome idea with the chariot. I was wondering if there was a way to use it but that would be perfect
Also, domestic setup looks great for this turn. I'll try to get a MC eta tonight to try and plan the timing of our first GP

Cool, I'll log in and load the chariot.
I think a Metal Casting ETA is going to be sort of difficult until we know how much cash we get from the city captures. It's also unclear how many beakers we have lined up in overflow since Priesthood is apparently finishing purely on overflow right now, and Monotheism next turn will likely do the same. It's also unclear how many beakers we have lined up in overflow since Priesthood is apparently finishing purely on overflow right now, and Monotheism next turn will likely do the same. Let's see how well I can do First off, how much overflow have we accumulated? Looking at the game, if I set the research to 0% science and put the tech on Calendar, then that will take 436 turns for us to complete. That means overflow turn + 435 turns at 1bpt gets us Calendar. Calendar costs 562, so overflow would get us 127/562 into Calendar. Let's adjust that for pre-requisites to find the base beaker overflow. Since calendar is a tech with 1 pre-req, if we divide 127 by 1.2 we end up with 105.833333. So 106. Then subtract the "every turn" beaker and we'll have 105b of overflow. Working backwards to verify, (105 + 1) * 1.2 = 127.2, so looks like we have 105 base beakers of overflow. We are going to make 122b this turn. Add the 105b overflow and the 1 "every turn" beaker, and that gives us 228b total to apply to Priesthood. We get a 2 pre-req bonus on priesthood, so multiply by 1.4 and it looks like we'll put in 319b into priesthood. That tech costs 96 total, leaving us with (319 - 96) / 1.4 = 159b overflow for monotheism. I'm going to assume we capture FG next turn and get enough gold to fund 1 more turn at 100% (so about 75g). I'm guessing that it is going to be comparable to when we captured CC, and that city gave us 105g upon capture. So next turn we will add 132b to (new city should get us 10b, no growth for other cities), and add the 159 overflow + the every turn beaker and monotheism with 1 pre-req will complete at (132 + 159 + 1) * 1.2 = 350/193 and give us 130b overflow. T139 we'll start on monarchy, but i'm going to assume that means teching at break-even. We'll say 50% for break-even which is about 65bpt. With that guess monarchy will take 3 turns. 274 on the first turn, 92 on the 2nd & 3rd. 274 + 92 + 92 = 458. Monarchy costs 483, so it may take 4. Hmmmm. So Monarchy finishes t141 or 142. Hopefully 141. Then we revolt to HR & OR, that will take a turn. And after that point, I'd say it's Metal Casting next. MC costs 723 beakers and we have 1 pre-req. FG will be out of revolt by then and contributing, so let's say we're making 75 base bpt at breakeven for Metal Casting. That would mean 8 turns to complete MC. Which would put Metal Casting finishing right around end of t150. With my history in these types of guesses we may even want to say it's 149. I usually end up a little conservative on guessing beaker growth. But I think 150 is a good enough estimate to plan for now. Noble's bugging me about pbem45, so I'll do the great person work for Sid's Sushi later

Any news from the north? Did xenu lose any more cities?

And no, Xenu has lost no new cities. He hasn't made peace with anyone. Well, we can't see his state of peace/war with Brick since we haven't met Brick, but there's no news.
Brick is Hindu but only has one Hindu city and it's not even his capital...okay...
Speaking of that, I'm surprised Nakor is allowed to stay Hindu despite not having any Hindu cities. I thought you get kicked out of the religion.
