He's not "bothering with" binary because he's under the impression that binary only saves you the fractional beaker and has no other benefits. Not sure about the monastery, he might have been building missionaries out of this place. If 30% is breakeven then the library hardly helps him at all - he only makes 34c * 0.3 = 10.2b base, so he gets 2.55b out of the library. Let's say he gets 3b since he's making some gold at 30%. A courthouse would save him 5g, give him 2 EP, and gold is worth more than beakers. The courthouse is more expensive of course, but he has a lot of food in the city. The more useful benefit of the library would actually be enabling him to work scientists which would be good for this city, but he isn't doing that either.

Hey. I am long time lurker, never made account. But I follow much, I know Serdoa, we are in same company. This made me post:
First screenshot he has damage Horse south of Darlington. Second screenshot no Horse is there. But north of Darlington on the hill is one. From facing that Horse came out at Darlington. Seems the same Horse? No other Horse is left in Darlington, on first screenshot.
Sorry for bad English. That is why I not post.

Juergen PMd me about this so I took a look (good eye btw, and your English is very clear, you should post more!). Interestingly I believe Old Harry made a worse move the second time through - looks like first time he sniped a unit and moved out of range, second time he moved the HA next to a spear instead. Nevertheless he shouldn't be undoing combats like that. I asked in his thread to explain in what I hope is a friendly way, before making any kind of negative judgment. It's certainly clear he's being a good sport overall, letting Serdoa retake his turn for example.

to be fair, serdoa told him that since serdoa's moves would be different (from harrys perspective) that Harry should feel free to do redo his turn however he wished.

We are talking about two screenshots from the same playthrough of the turn.

Well, these kind of suspicious things can happen from time to time. For instance, when I was playing FFH PBEM VI, I was attacking a stack from Selrahc. I had catapults and units to kill the stack. I attacked with the catapults, then started with the axes, because my remaining catapults were out of range. After that I realized that I could road a tile and make the other catapults attack on that turn too. So I did that. Of course, it probably looked suspicious to Selrahc (since I ended up killing a lot of his units with few losses - even worst, the FfH mod doesn't show combat odds, which were heavily in my favour in that particular attack), since the order didn't make sense. But that was what happened.

So I'll just ask for 200 gold, is that too much? I guess I'll find out next turn... It'll get me civil service pretty fast, then I can start dreaming about catching the others up.
WAY too little. You could ask for at least a city on top of that.

Well there's a difference between a fair treaty and a treaty your opponent is willing to accept. The value of not being at war may be equal to or greater than the difference between those two things.
