Swore i took photos from when i played, but no pics in the screen folder...
KFC was able to finish the granary with the chop plus the wine so i went with that config. Sid's is on a lighthouse so we can grow, food uber alls and all that jazz Culvers will need to take the grass hill mine back on growth. I shuffled tiles so we'll be able to two-pop whip the market right as it grows to unhappiness. Whipped the forge at Taco Bell, after sending the missionary there. And i lastly, next turn Dominos needs to get max hammers into a lighthousr next turn- that will let us one-pop whip it and let all those moai coast tiles be ome very workable

Took a peak with the new turn, changed some tiles and build orders, but feel free to change anything around. Didn't move units yet.
Slowcheetah has settled another city on the eastern islands. I think we need to have a 2nd settler going, especially if we want to get to those whales ahead of him.

Moai finished! Lighthouse whipped to finish it off.
We're looking at settling this island next: Here's hoping Slowcheetah doesn't turn that into a conflict immediately. Time for our weekly Poor Merohoc update: I think I have about 6 screenshots now that are called "T1xx_poor_mero.jpg" right now. Couple overhead shots since it's been a few turns since we've posted those: Culvers will be double-whipping the Market in a few turns which will be an instant +5gpt for the shrine, plus it will be quite valuable in letting us grow the city several more sizes. Boston Market is producing the settler for the east island. We'll need to sort out some sort of defender for that city. Um, archer after missionary at JJ? One pathetic/funny fact: we have ZERO Ikhandas right now . Just none at all. Not because we don't like Ikhandas, but because we like granaries, lighthouses (FIN), and IND forges a little better. Apologies that our thread has tailed off in excitement - the issue with our unique "start from scratch" 100 turns in means we're still getting the basic infrastructure in right now while everyone else is doing more exciting things. It's been fun to see our score/city counts "boom" up to the midrange, but we're still just soooo far behind the Big Four. Pindicator, I'm thinking about the global situation right now. The metagame for us is funky right now in that is depends heavily on how slowcheetah sizes us up. He could be thinking one of two ways: 1) I have enough land to win. Therefore I colonize as many of these islands as I can, grow and try to win economically. If I can't beat Plako economically, I take it to him. 2) I don't have enough land to win. I have a weak neighbor west of me who will be behind me technologically and I can probably beat them to Astronomy. I take them out, and I have enough land to win. If he goes with #1, I think we get a few cities east of us and then invade Xenu in 50T or so if nobody has bothered by then. If he goes with #2, then we give him our best fight. If somebody else invades us (Commodore, Serdoa, etc) then, well, not much point in planning for that comparatively speaking. Just sort of bouncing ideas here, but looking at slowcheetah's land, I'd be leaning towards #1 for him if he gets a few more of these islands. I just don't know slowcheetah enough to gauge how he will handle us as neighbors. Any thoughts? Just thinking "out loud" here.
I was thinking maybe we swap TB to an ikhanda as well. Since it is going to be our HE city, I dunno if we want to both with a lighthouse.
As for slowcheetah, I don't have a good feel for him either. I do a lot less "intensive" lurking than I used to; it's a lot more casual lurking now, so I don't really commit people's play to memory, just post half-assed comments instead One thing that may send SC toward option #2 is if he plays a bit intimidated by his vet neighbor. If he is acting in awe of plako, then we may appear to be the easier target and he may come towards us. Tech path for us needs to be an astro beeline, IMO. So Machinery -> Compass -> Optics -> Calendar -> Paper -> Astronomy. And we should really look at getting as many libraries in as possible to help that along. As for a unit, we could have JJ whip it's almost-done missionary and use the overflow on an archer. If we think it's worth a whip. Moai City: I think it builds a Library, and then a couple triremes. No wait, forge first if there isn't one yet.

I hope that attack included some catapults otherwise losing to jaguars is just embarrassing...

Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone. Quote:If he goes with #1, I think we get a few cities east of us and then invade Xenu in 50T or so if nobody has bothered by then. If he goes with #2, then we give him our best fight. Oh I figured if slowcheetah attacked you would just see if you could takeover Merohoc or Azza's lands....
Another early morning peak at the new turn...
We met slowcheetah - or rather, he met us. Wow, that's a lot of gold. He has 5 more cities than we do, and about 1200 more gold. A lot of resources, too. As for our turn, I put "Whip??" signs over Five Guys and Jimmy John's. FG is for a forge that it's working on. JJ is almost donw with it's missionary, but if we whip it here then we can overflow to a 1t archer. The other question I have is if we should swap Taco Bell off it's lighthouse to an ikhanda. We need the ikhanda in order to start on Heroic Epic, and I don't know if we'll be working all too many water tiles here. But I'm fine finishing the lighthouse if we think that will get use. Off to work!
