Agree with Seven. We have the whip set up quite nicely, and can shave off another 2t of Taj Mahal with it. Also, if the Germans become skittish around T135 and cancels our marble deal? (As I understand it, there is no 10t diplo rule between human players.) Then the more hammers we can put into Taj at once the better.
Furthermore, I consider that forum views should be fluid in width

They can't cancel the marble deal within ten turns unless they declare war.

Earlier Taj build.
Seconding the idea of finishing scouting the southeast. Would like to know if it links up to CFC around the sea. Would also like to finish dotmapping the area with full information.

Let's build a couple of WCs from HF for map control and scouting. The overflow will let us stay on 1t catapults while growing.
Since the market whip earns us 2 turns on the TM I think we should do it for peace of mind.
(Btw, you don't get prereq or known tech bonii when bulbing. )
About Eastern Dealers: By the time the TM completes we want ED to have the NE and we want it at least size 12ish, working 5 or 6 specialists. I don't know if that's possible, but maybe it is if we build the NE before the forge? Or maybe we have enough food there that we can whip the forge and still grow fast enough to reach size 12 by t138?

For once I think kjn got west and east right.
We want to scout the area southwest of ST as well, since that land is contested by CivPlayers and we don't know what's there.

IMO Earlier Taj build makes sense for the reasons expressed by Seven.

It seems that almost everybody agrees on getting the Taj earlier for various reasons. I agree with this too. We already lost two races (Oracle and MoM) so let's play it as safe as possible.

Huh, I misread kjn's post. I'd rather finish SE first, since we will settle the area. There are likely only a few tiles remaining. We have no plans to settle the SW border with CivPlayers any time soon.
We also want to get that galley built and scout the ocean.

I would rather do both, hence the call for a few WC builds in HF.

I like the T138 Taj as well. Remember, as you say, +capital bonuses matter less than +empire bonuses. So screw Adventure One! That city's leaving bureaucracy and doesn't even have an academy!
I think T138 Taj is early enough that we'll be safe. The question is, what will our builds post-lib? First we want a round of Forges, which will probably happen before the GA. To whip or not whip? And should we even bother with Universities and Oxford?
What will be our Great Person plans? If I'm reading this correctly, a GScientist will be born at EoT129 (aka can move on T130). Both scientists complete Education on T130, and we beaker-research Liberalism at EoT130 (aka we pick a tech T131). Obviously we stop working specialists up until the GA, but should we try to starve another one out from Starfall during the next GA? And what should we do with our next round of Great People? Bulb Printing Press? Build and Academy? Save for our 2-person GA? The last, I'd like to save for after we've conquered the Germans.
Also, we might want a few rounds of workers to accelerate the clearance of the northern jungles. They won't be wasted, considering they'll be used to integrate our future German (and WPC?) holdings into our Greater RB Co-prosperity Sphere.
