I've only played one unreported turn, things are moving very slowly due to Dazed's IT problems.

I played turn 61 earlier today, here's a brief report:

I settled this city, to offload some tiles from Papa.

So I got a net increase in costs of 9gpt, 3gpt of which was actually civic costs. The city makes 4gpt from the get-go.

I'm planning to settle the ivory city on t64, and I have another settler completing too but I'm not sure if I should found more cities just yet. If I do it will probably be a single front city north of my capital, on the plains hill 1S of the Oasis.

The forest under the city? Nah, I don't need the hammers.

You'll notice though in that screenshot two workers cottaging forests around my capital, those actions will complete next turn.

I always thought you should get some starting hammers in a city by settling on a forest (maybe only after mathematics, though).

Did you play t62 yet? You should drop off the two workers in the galley on the jungle rather than on the grassland.
