As the thread title dictates, this isn't a PB signup thread. It is however, a thread to gauge peoples interest in future PB games. As PB8 is likely to be over in the next 6 months (I'm hedging here) the is a likely opportunity to start a new mod PB game before the end of the year. However, because sunrise is gracious enough to host all of our PB games, and he can only host 1 mod game at a time (last I checked, anyway), my question is...what mod game, if any, would people like to play after PB8? After all, with the potential 2 standard PB games being set up now, it wouldn't be fair for everyone to not sign up to them in the hope that they are able to play the perfect mod game in a few months. Especially if there are multiple different mods that people want to play.

100% for this, when PB8 is done. There are many games; only these are epics.
If only you and me and dead people know hex, then only deaf people know hex.
I write RPG adventures, and blog about it, check it out.
Probably. I'm betting that PB10 will die in a fire before pb8 finishes.

I would like to play in a pitboss whenever one next happens. Not RBMod though, probably just plain BtS.
I'm intrested after my current obligations are over. I think we've found by far the best format/settings to play the civ in PB8 so I'm mainly intrested in games that resemble these. BtS or RBmod are both ok. RBmod would require a bug/feature checkout though. Alternatively we could also try to make RBmini mod that would try to do just the bare minimum to make all leaders playable and remove the biggest unbalances in PB8 type maps (e.g. GLH nerf). I could also help out to implement the changes needed. SevenSpirits what are the biggest problems for you in RBmod?

I ignored it because of this: Quote:Recommended player skill level: Medium (greens can play as part of a team, deity players should sit this one out) but I'm also not interested in full diplo, so I guess it's a moot point. Biggest problem for me is the tech-trading-related change that massively increases cost of techs starting at the renaissance, plus the whole set of known tech bonus changes. Second major problem is the sheer quantity of small changes which people forget about - things that don't make a difference , but since they are slightly different from BtS they will screw people up. The worst ones for me are the ones that are also thematic non sequiturs such as Environmentalism/Free Speech, Mall, Serfdom, Protective, FIN love of non-rivers, Barracks culture, and the Hunting/AH kerfuffle. Third biggest objection is the slavery change. Finally it simply includes a lot of changes I think actually make the game less balanced or interesting, such as: * War Elephant bonus vs knights * Ballista Elephant bonus vs knights! * ORG bonus on libraries * Vultures extra bonus vs melee * Salon free specialist * Gutted "Expansive" trait * Optics nerf (no whaling boats) * Early map trading |
