I'm not happy about us breaking our agreements with CP yet again by moving into and out of their territory. You realize they can see which direction our unit is facing, right?

That makes sense. It looked like they whipped hard to get all their infrastructure up, so it's not surprising to see their pop rebound quickly.

I guess I'll throw out one more time the idea of getting engineering before guilds. With CFC getting a GE that's our only real chance of landing Notre Dame. And even I'd they get it the fail gold is nice. Also, 3 move roads would make it a lot easier to get everything in place for the initial invasion- it would probably allow like 5 extra units to reach the front on turn 150.

Strongly advocate for a production city in the south. We need ports and shipyards.

Yeah, the road bonus on a huge map really shouldn't be downsized, especially with a war coming. I think it itakes those catapults something like 8 turns to get from Starfall to German lands; with Engineering that would really cut down the time.

This escaped my attention - I agree wholeheartedly. It's bad on at least three levels:
1. Why are we breaking our agreements before the ink of the signature is even dry?
2. Why are we doing it in a way that is very obviously noticeable for our opponent?
3. Why is this done without even consulting the team?

I think Let It Snow is fine as a commerce city, and I'm ok with Engineering next if the war strategists think the delay to Guilds is acceptable.
I have to run.

Guilds before engineering. Build the knights first to get a handful for the German war. Then eng to get reinforcements to the front line.

Does SoZ do that much to WW since we are the aggressors?

SoZ will have largely no effect except maybe in the border cities if we have some tile culture there.

I suggest scattering our attack units across the empire instead of concentrating them in one spot (Tree Hugger). We just have to make sure they can reach the point of attack on T150. Will we have Engineering before T150 for additional road movement?
That way we can disguise our target for a while longer.
