I am totally screwed. Dazed attacked commodore and commodore is kicking his butt - man has curaissers (I dont' even have gunpowder yet).
I'm not going to get anywhere against mostly harmless, who has janissaries, who have bonuses against everyone, so I need muskets just to not die. And MH is, of course, no longer offering peace. I'll see if he is willing to take peace and back away, anyway.
Time to move the civ onto infra builds.

Dazed attacked me, took Waverly Hills and VeryVeryNervous (my border cities with him)
He has a lot of muskets. I have a lot of knights and HA to upgrade to knights, however, plus a lot of catapults, so I expect to take my cities back. I may even build oxford while doing it - my civ is already in war mode, so some judicious whips and I'm on my way!!

Killed a GG and a bunch of knights, then a couple more muskets. Got a GG out of it. He has 2 muskets threatening my Moai city, but I have strong defenses there (LB, Landsknecht, Axe, with a musket completing). Also killed a galley and lost a caravel to a trireme.
I'll get some pics over the weekend so people have a clue as to what I'm talking abotu
Sticks power is very high right now.

some pics later - in short, dazed asked for peace - I ignored him and took back VeryVeryNervous instead. I'm going to take back WaverlyHills in a couple of turns. I'm researching aesthetics->Lit and building oxford - I'll build HE and NE, as well. I'm still WAY behind in tech, but I think I can start making it up.
Costs are high (VeryVeryNervous's rathaus didn't surive and it costs nearly 20 gpt!)

So, still need pics - Dazed offered peace for WaverlyHills last turn - I declined and found he had left it undefended. I think he's worried about Commodore (and he should be - Commodore has a stack of Curaissers which is going to rip him apart)
Dazed then offered peace for CryCryCry, one of his cities. I declined and took it and Memphis (another of his cities) Dazed is in nationhood, so I'm guessing that things get tougher - but I want to get into his core and pick up some of the cities with towns in them.
I'm 2 turning economics, for the merchant. Commodore just got rifling, which gives him cavalry, which is probably the game, to be honest - but no one has chemistry, so I could get to grenadiers before anyone.

Commodore is, I think, the most dangerous - I'm behind by something like 8K beakers. that's hard to make up, especially with him getting free great people. Thestick, of course, is very dangerous, with by far the most power.
I have 4 more cities than commodore and 2 more than thestick. My costs are lower, so that helps.
Commodore got where he is by Pyramids, Oracle, colossus and liberalism - nicely done - he didn't get the lighthouse, but geez... 2 of the best AA wonders is pretty damn good.

Thank you for the breakdown. Shouldn't thestick be up more than that based on prerequisites? Or am I forgetting the tech tree?

stick also has music, drama and philo, of course.
Commodore is up 13K beakers on me. I took a look at a previous save, 500 AD, turn 90. His lead there was 1500 beakers. he's outteched me by 300 bpt since then!! That's the difference between being eh at this game and knowing what the hell you are doing.
Right now, I can maybe end up 3rd, ahead of MH and Dazed. Only way for me to win is for thestick and commodore to go at each other, or for me to do some serious ass teching. Certainly, I can catch up on the techs I'm missing, somewhat, since I'm getting a bonus for them.. but boy is it a long way to go...
