Is anyone else interested in starting another one soon?
I am willing to play with either mod but have a preference for FFH over EITB. Settings tbd, of course, but something similar to the last few games that have started would be great. I'm also open to various gimmicks for this one, but first let's see who's interested and what the consensus is.
Please be willing to help maintain a pace of at least 1 turn per day if you are interested in joining.

Tentatively interested.
Just to get the discussion rolling: I'd also be in favor of FFH over EitB (but am fine with either). Definitely in favor of something that speeds up the early game. And prefer randomness (living world, huts, lairs) to the alternative.

I'd be interested in a game, but my preferences run pretty much opposite to those HK listed.
FFH/EitB - no strong preference.
Living world - fine either way.
Huts - prefer disabled. Ban the Clan if enabled?
Lairs - strongly prefer disabled. I'd be OK with them if we used lair guardians, but otherwise they're just too swingy for my tastes. The advantage of including them with guardians is so that poison goblins and lizardmen make promotion decisions more diverse than automatic C1->shock.
Edit: and no-chat diplo. No diplo, AI diplo, one email per turn are all fine.

I'd be interested too. I'm not exactly strong in MP, but I have played FfH pbem 7 (where I got Roflstomped by the clowns and then claimed "victory" as the only original turn-player not dead or replaced), and in BtS 20 odd when I was going through a period of not posting much, and missed the game flaming out for nearly a week.
Either/or on the mods is fine by me (just tell me if there are updates on FfH2 patch o), and I'm agnostic as of yet on the settings (but I'll play even if some settings are ones I vote down later).
The one big thing for me is that the map is at least relatively balanced, without this assurance I won't play. I know I didn't play well enough in 7, but my quality of play didn't matter as the land I was given ensured I had lost on turn 0. Let me lose through my own stupidity.

I'd be potentially interested if the usual OP combos are banned. I include clan in that (you can take credit hehe).

I had considered picking the Clan, but I'm okay with banning them instead. The civ can tend to have a game-warping effect even in games where they aren't dominant.
I'd be okay with banning other civs as well, as long as we don't get carried away with it.

Sure. Something like a starting Shade would be good, or perhaps something we haven't tried before.

I think the key with lairs is for the mapmaker to be careful how many there are and where they are placed, and the 3 turn EITB exploration delay helps as well.
Overall, I tend to prefer to have more randomness/chaos in a game. If lairs are reduced somehow removed, it wouldn't be a deal breaker for me, though.

As long as you help to keep up a decent turn pace...

I'm not sure about patches, I think there's one that affects Pyre Zombies or something.
I agree, more or less, about the map. I think that it is important that it is relatively large, simply because of the way aggressive FFH warfare works. It's not nearly as easy to peacefully have a tight border with someone over a long period of time, and the most interesting parts of the game occur midway or later on anyway.

I'm not fussed about lairs or huts, but have a mild preference for them to be off. Really mild though, if others feel strongly, then sure.
Early game boost? Eh, a shade I can deal with but would prefer to not have something too wacky.
Map: This is the only deal breaker for me, although I think I agree with Ellimist. We need some room please. I'm not interested in another hyper close game.

You played it, you can't unplay it!
And hey, it wasn't my fault you came up with the skeleton/wraith spam tactic.
Edit: I'll echo Ellimist, and Kyan. Big and balanced would be nice map settings.
