It's really expensive to be the marginal leader and have everybody working against you.



Boldly brought up his lucky Trireme along with another one and a galley. I don't want to risk losing my furs city, so I had to complete the Phalanx there and delay the revolt to Bureaucracy and Representation.



Zak is scouting out my island. You may also remember that Zak ran the EP slider against me a few turns ago, making me lose my graphs:


With Civil Service researched, I could run 10% EP to regain the graphs at end of turn:


Not good. It's a bit confusing how Zak keeps doing his power buildups while in caste... Anyway, I don't know what he's got planned, maybe he's going to fort the bananas and ambush my island.


Oh, as you can see Zak also completed the great wall. Please be planning to sit back and defend for a while...

I'll probably attack. It might not be worth it but I need to fight back somewhere, just for general morale.

There's a good chance I'll lose the boat, and even if I don't I'll probably lose the GG Phalanx, which would otherwise become a maceman in 5-6 turns. In hindsight I should've just loaded a regular Phalanx instead.

Unload the GG Phalanx into the forest (should be safe enough).
