I had this great idea for how to save our galleons from the stack of frigates under them that will surely declare and sink every one of them next turn:
And then I remembered the fatal flaw in that plan
Scooter and I need to look over this game together, but i just got in and he is going to bed. I am also going to shower and go to bed. So we need a pause

I also thought it would be brilliant to retire to AI, but I'm not sure everybody would appreciate that joke as much as I do

I can accept not being in the top 5, but I can't accept ranking behind someone who only reported one game. FFH1 was epic indeed, but I think you need at least 3 games to qualify.
And, uh, good luck guys!
I've got some dirt on my shoulder, can you brush it off for me?

Nonsense, Gaspar is a great narrator. I think the new people haven't seen him post though for some reason...
And in game sense we're screwed. I keep coming up with ideas and then keep remembering that we can't declare war on Commodore until next turn.
I honestly don't have the energy to play this out. I've been putting my best effort into a losing game for months; at this point it feels like it's just time to unplug the damn life support. We'll see, though; I'll sleep on it and talk to scooter. But Alt+Q really is ironically tempting.

I suppose the fact that I've not played a game that lasted into the AD years in like 8 months probably is a factor, yes.
Whatever you guys decide, you've done an amazing job of fighting an uphill battle for a long time, so you can keep your head held high regardless.

+1
Though I would encourage you guys to play as best as possible; your game so far has been truly epic and it demands a fitting conclusion
@Gaspar, I haven't been here that long , I've only read so many old threads so obviously my opinion is a little skewed
