10 randomly generated pairs seemed like a decent number for 4 players, but if the variance will be that much of a factor, it makes sense to roll more. I'm in favor of the randomly generated civ/leader pairs. Let's start with 24 pairs, cull the big winners and losers, and we'll have whatever Seven determines to be a fair sample from which to choose. I'm in favor of not seeing starts, but if I'm outvoted, which it seems I am, that's the way it's going to be. If we do see starts, I vote for unfogging the entire BFC.

Ok so:
5 players: Oxyphnebutazone, Yuri, Retep, Wetbandit, Azza Always War 18 rolled combinations, with best and worst 4 chopped off See starts before picking, with scouts placed so food resources are visible Torusland Inland Seas rolled by Seven Usual RB rules about elephants and nukes, etc. No events/huts/barbs Is everyone agreed on these? |
just to confirm that I read the thread and proposed settings look fine to me!
