There appears to be something...odd going on in the game. Specifically, it appears that De Gaulle has become an AI, which is odd because Spacetyrantxenu logged in...can someone tell me what is up with that?

I'm still logged into the game, I had to walk away for a bit. I'm back now -- I haven't reverted to AI control or anything. Think we're OK.

I'll see if exiting and re-logging works, but right now I see "De Gaulle [AI]" for your team slot and can even talk to him. Will see if exiting and re-logging fixes it.

We wouldn't worry about the AIs, we'd worry about the AI's neighbors kicking the crap out of the AI, or the AI doing some horribly stupid thing to unit micro in the short time it's in control. That kind of thing can easily lead to a reload.

Yeah I read that in a rather civ-centric way, not in a way to consider adverse effects on humanity in the event of a real (fake!) skynet self-awareness incident. But don't worry, if Earth needs saving someone will come up with a horribly contrived plot mechanism that will save us all.
