Discussed with Sunrise. Games are purposefully down. He is building up the new server.

Little point in saying this since a meteor is probably headed for my computer as we speak, but since some of the games needed reloads anyways I went ahead and got server 1.5 up and running. It's pretty fancy: renewable ergonomic stand (monitor set on cardboard box), superior ventilation (case door removed), and extra-quick-release drive bay (hard drive sat on bare metal case chassis).
This isn't a permanent solution, but it does have about twice the performance and half the hardware age of the old server, and perhaps more importantly since it doesn't need to be remoted into it's less susceptible to VNC crashes necessitating a restart. Anyways, game is reloaded to Xenu's login, ~10:00 on the clock. I think I have the configuration settings right, but it's certainly possible I missed something. If that's the case I'll fix it tomorrow.
I'm up, will try to replay this morning but no guarantees. With family staying over Little Tyrant isn't going to daycare today so my pre-work civ ritual may be more difficult to complete than usual with him demanding both food and attention.

OK, replayed turn and paused for pindicator since he normally plays at night.

Trial by fire: severe thunderstorm warning issued. Keep in mind the UPS will keep the game from needing to be reloaded due to brief outages but the internet connection could still drop.
No, we now require a second Internet connection from a separate ISP, fed through a load balancer into your network! Or, we'd settle for having the server instance migrated into a multi-region mulit-continent fully-synchronized hosted cloud platform with LAN type latency, no packet loss, complete downtime prevention (including traffic accident prevention along all physical network cabling paths), and all at no additional cost in terms of capital expenditure or administrative burden (since we're all aware that you need time to do other things beside manage the servers). That should increase uptime, right? We'll wait for your implementation plan and a timeline for completion before offering our own amendments, suggestions, and unhelpful criticism.
As an alternative we may also consider waiting to play until you're able to restore service under the existing setup, should service be disrupted for any reason. Thanks! Incidentally I do have my cable modem and router on the UPS as well, and since I no longer have FIOS internet [cry] I don't think I have any sort of powered in-home terminal. My thinking is that means the game should stay up during a short outage, since surely the ISP has power backup for whatever sort of distribution node cable uses.
I'm not sure if you can assume anything about backups related to your ISP given the recent car incident.

Hearthstone: ArenaDrafts Profile No longer playing Hearthstone.
Short of burying all fiber transmission lines I'm not sure what the ISP can do to prevent someone from driving a car into their service pole to disconnect the line.
