Diplomacy Master Thread- Helping Your Opponents Beat Themselves

How do you know how much gold they would give us when nobody anywhere has suggested a number? Of course we'll come up with a number that would be worth it to them, we're not going to treat them like they are morons. But we need to know if the general idea is interesting to them before going into specifics.

Anyway, this is probably all moot right now since we'll very likely delay Communism (or at least that's the way things seem to be leaning). But I'm just irritated that you are assuming the worst with every single situation and then blasting the team for things we've never said we're going to do.

From WPC:

Quote:Understood that would probably be an issue. Better you leave a slightly or badly wounded longbow there. We have a stack, inlcluding 3 catapults, that can tackle the city.

Why are they only telling us this now?

uh, by that did they mean it could attack the city this turn 160 or next turn 161?

They've obviously forgotten that we need to take the city this turn. They can only take it next turn.

Draft to WPC Wrote:Beta,

We did make an attempt to redline the last Warendorf longbow for your chariot, but we got a favorable dice roll and won the battle cleanly. Sorry about that, but we knew there was a big chance that could happen because it's hard to precisely redline a unit enough for a chariot to kill. We had a weird string of luck, winning things we shouldn't and losing things we shouldn't.

Anyway, We were able to kill their stack on the pigs, and if you can keep surviving, we'll do all we can next turn to kill more units. We placed a few units on flatland, and I'm hoping they'll take that bait to attack back at us rather than you, but I'm not sure if they'll do that or not. Next turn let me know how Huron looks, and we'll pick off whatever of their units we can get in range of!

Thanks,

The maces on flatland was actually a misclick, but GO WITH IT YOU GUYS. lol

if that pisses them off, imagine this:

it seems like there is a good chance the germans take Huron. in that case, we might have to take huron to eliminate the germans. and we won't be able to gift it back to wpc frown

I am in favor of laying out ALL the things we are doing for them. Namely also:

we are diverting 90% of our army to their defense, and will liberate their city if need be
and, we are making a risky attack in the north that has the chance to vaporize all of the german units if they (WPC) can just hold on to huron for one more turn

We can liberate instead of capture
