Their grievance needs to be made publicly, harassing/making serious accusations against the Admin in private is not cool.

I think we need to post something with our side of the story (we logged in with 2 hours on the clock, mistakenly deduced that CivFR either already played or had the 2nd half, and have screenshots to prove it) before this misunderstanding escalates.

Except we do not have a leg to stand on there, since Inao (CivFr) posted this over on CFC 11.24 CEST (ie soon after I went to bed, well before Scooter started the stream):

Quote:I just see the reload. I don't know exactly what was played by hulkmusclor and so can't replay the turn instead of him. I just sent him a message to warm him, but as it is late (near midnight here), I don't know if he will be able to replay the turn soon.

Did no one here go over to the admin and announcement threads and bother to check things? Or check if CivFr had ended their turn on CivStats?

Nobody reads CFC because we hate them, I thought you knew that...

So exactly how does this mod work anyway? Zero experience with it myself, and I'm perplexed as to what just happened and why. We started with less than 2 hours on the clock and finished with 20 minutes, while still talking about doing various domestic moves later...?

I had assumed everyone else was familiar with weird timer rules I wasn't. Can someone kindly fill me in? smile

Sorry, I don't think any of us were actually aware of the procedure.

I think we should say something at CFC. That would be something official from team RB. We may want to include the following:

* Sorry we forgot to pause

* The 2 hours / 15 minutes thing

* We wouldn't want for CivFr to lose their turn of course

* We would prefer to not reload because of the battles if a solution can be found, but we'd do that if nothing else is possible

* We'd like plako to come back as admin, and that CFC must publicly state what, if anything, have against plako

The mod enforces a split timer (in this case 36 hours), locking out teams that are at war when it's not their half (teams at peace can log in freely). In this case we had the following teams involved (simplified):

Germans (first half), war with us
CivFr (first half), war with CFC
Us (second half), war with Germans
CFC (second half), war with CivFr
Univers (not at war)

The Germans ended their turn after say 24 hours. That meant our clock started ticking. However, the timer can only show a single value, and it always shows the least time remaining. So after the Germans ended turn, it still showed Univers and CivFr's timer. Once CivFr ended their turn, then CFC's clock would start ticking, but that wouldn't change the displayed timer as long as Univers didn't end their turn as well.

I'm good with what kalin proposed.

I'm pretty upset over the situation we've put CivFr in, and I'm declaring myself officially blameless for the current mess.

My advice is to keep it simple: Team RB messed up after the reload.
