It will, but we have to be playing first in the turn order. Otherwise we have to hit them a turn sooner every time if we're playing second. That's based on BTS 3.19 - I'm assuming the Spanish mod doesn't change anything about the civic timer (which I don't see why it would).

Also this only works if we are sure no other team will do the civic swap mission. Holding off one team is expensive but perhaps doable; holding off multiple teams isn't possible.

YES, agree with Apolyton for anything that reduces our exposure to spy missions. Do it yesterday.

I agree as well. A deal is better than no deal at all. Please send it over when you're good with the language.

So we should aim to be first on the turn order to do this, right? We can still get our instant drafts out and in play during our turn, we'd just lose out on EoT naturally produced units when defending in our cities. Given the choice, we have to do everything we can to minimize the possibility of losing the draft.

I went ahead and sent that official proposal to Apolyton, incorporating a tweak similar to what Boldly suggested about tying up the obvious loophole:

RB Wrote:MZ,

Here is our official "signing" of the EP agreement, and if/when your team is willing to officially agree, let me know and we can confirm it. I'm also going to contact others about it too. Let me know if you have any comments or questions!

* All those who sign this agreement promise to never use civic or religion swap spy missions or directly help another civ use civic or religion swap spy missions against any other team that signs this agreement for the remainder of the game. This agreement will remain in effect regardless of whether the teams that sign this agreement are at war or peace with each other, and it is fully independent of all other deals.

If you guys agree, we'll start doing work on getting other teams to agree. The more the better. smile

Thanks,

While this is not really a priority we should send a GG message of sorts to the German team.

Doesn't the declarer always get the second half with this mod?
I have to run.

CivFR has the 1st half IIRC and they were also the ones that declared.
