I think that was just a wild idea classical_hero decided to throw out, its certainly never happened before.
And it is actually against our settings - which say unrestricted leaders, but no duplicates. So do not worry, Bisons.
I also thought that CH was citing it as a generally interesting idea, not a proposal for this game.

If it's okay for me to join, then I'd be happy to read up on a few previous summaries to remind myself how to effectively play these kind of games.
Not sure if anyone is looking for me as a type of teammate, but I figured it couldn't hurt to put my name in the mix. I should have a PC with me throughout the duration of this entire game.
Hi DMOC, Dick76 (currently in vacation) is looking for a teammate and I think he will be perfect teammate for you. Dick76 has played in many of these games, he is currently playing in 7 Pitbosses! I will PM you how to contact Dick best.
Sent an email to him, and am awaiting his response.

A) Everybody OK with rules 1-9?
Yeah, they look fine to us

I prefer map-maker's choice.

Yes.

Indifferent.

With 7 solid teams, can we go ahead and start? An early birthday present

I think Caledorn's coming up with an email for us, but you know how to get a hold of either one of us.

Sorry!
"That the final result/setup will be...[that everyone has the same Civ/leader]"
Is probably a better way to say it.

Team My Little Marathon Cannibal Pony supports: A(everything), B(Monarch), C(scout), and D(no sneakpeek before snake).

Like Bisons I am for a non-mirrored map with every team having a fair chance but not everybody having the exact same chance.

Hi Yossa, thank you for stating your preferences - but of course we would blame Caledorn .

Sounded very tempting - patient waiting is definitely not my thing . But we just got another signup - if we only find an experienced teammate for HBHR we would have 8 solid teams by 8/8. Would this not be perfect? We would not only get Lord Parkin his wish of 8+ teams. but Chinese consider 8 to be most lucky number - so our game would not only be double-fund, but also triple-lucky .
Anyway, I see that you guys are having fun in the spoilers threads and are leading in the most prestigious category - thread views - with anybody but invincible Lord Parkin's team .

Yeah, you guys have been remarkably easy to reach - no worries here . It was mostly mean for teams where the only know contact is PM here or at other civ site.

No worries here, "reasonably balanced, but not mirrored starts" was proposed earlier in this thread and nobody objected, so I assume it is what we want.
One more thing I forgot to ask - there will be 7-8 teams playing, so allowing all teams contact pre-optics seems good choice to me. Otherwise, with relatively few teams playing, who is with whom on the same continent will likely be game breaking. Any objections to this setting?
