Plako, the signups are now officially closed and we have 10 teams - so please do your duty ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) .
Settings are as agreed earlier:

I haven't yet started it, but I've given this some thought so in case you want to affect to it please act fast. Here are the most relevant settings and extract from my previous email concerning the map and few new additions:
* Capitals are quite far from each other
* There are enough water to make sea-faring relevant
New settings I'll be using unless overruled by you:
* No wonder bans
* Map size: Large (setting - doesn't tell anything about the real size of the map)
* Everyone starts with a scout
I haven't made up my mind concerning world wrap. I've a feeling that most of you want roughly balanced, but natural (hardest possible compination) so I'd like to make it toroidial that gives most options for balancing, but Cylindrical would do too.
Map relevant settings from Maga:
Start: Ancient
Speed: Normal
Difficulty level: Emperor or Monarch
Barbarian level: Normal
Goody huts: Off
Corporations: On

And then when he's out of the restroom maybe he can make a map.

Does Raptorous have a teammate? We did decide on seeing starting screenshots before the snake pick, right?
Could someone generate the snake pick order? That'll give something more to talk about while we wait for the screenshots.

Raptorous still looking for a team mate and yes, we decide to have sneak peek before snake pick ![wink wink](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/wink2.gif) .
Yossa, I remember somebody posted on CFC how to permute numbers easily - do you have a link? I agree it will be neat to know picking order early. I think assigning order should be Plako's job, too - he is an admin, after all ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) .

I'm a bit too drunk to do anything productive concerning the map. Maga could you update the settings/teams in the sign-up thread. I could then try to use some randomization site to give you picking order.

I'd enjoy playing on a map created by someone who was drunk

You can use random.org to generate the order. Also, good to hear that the map is at least in progress. Thanks for making it, plako.

As someone who is (still) unable to legally drink alcohol, I would rather not, unless the drunkness somehow results in double gold for our start.
Also, it seems like one team hasn't made their spoiler thread...
Finally, does anyone have a rough timetable for the progress on this map? I'm just asking because I'll be away this weekend and I'm still not sure when dick76 is coming back from his vacation. I'm not trying to rush anyone, just wondering if we have some vague goals or deadlines in mind. ![smile smile](https://www.realmsbeyond.net/forums/images/smilies/smile2.gif) (It's better to wait a little longer to get a higher-quality map, after all.) I'll definitely be ready to check this site by Monday morning, though.

Have you finalized ALL the settings? Best to do that before you know who gets to pick first. An obvious conflict of interest would be if you start discussing whether to ban a certain leader or civ from being picked. Everything else might seem safe but there's always something you didn't expect to come up.

After all the map related settings have been decided I've promised to get map ready in a week so that is my goal. I'll try to get your starting locations ready in 3-4 days.

Yeah, we definitely need to make a new (stickied) thread with all these before we see the starts. Thanks for reminding us.

Okay, good to know.
