Pretty convincing there. How many sims did you do?

about 10 each. I never killed more then 2 WE and the mace in all the sims so I figured that was enough.
EDIT: I still had the sim up so I ran the W/O walls another 10 times and got generally better luck (from our perspective), only losing 2 We / 1 Mace a single time, usually losing mace/WE pair.

Hmmm, we could move the northern stack 2W in between the two peaks. That lets us hit the tile southwest of Mano next turn and potentially kill the four CivPlayers rifles plus whatever else they have on the tile. That should be worthwhile for us, only risk is if they somehow take the city with 2-movers (I seriously doubt they have any more knights or cuirassiers in range), the stack would be exposed to the remaining units in range (which could in theory include the three catapults). Still, we'd have like 25 units on the tile so three cats wouldn't do much.
I've swapped Mano over to a musket (enough overflow to make it a 2-whip) for now, and we're working the farm instead of the spices so that we grow to 4.

We've estimated CP's # Curassiers approximately equal to what we see near BbB. According to my sim they would need about 3 minimum to take Mano. They certainly wouldn't have enough hidden curs to take out our stack if we placed it between the peaks, and we'd be able to kill anything they bring at us. (EDIT: by anything I mean any hypothecital cuirs that they try throwing at the stack between the peaks).

I suggest moving in defenders/cannon fodder for BbB by galley (as part of the six required defenders). That way we don't weaken our forward stack too much.
Also I think even if CivPlayers revolts BbB, they can just run the slider for 5 turns or so and have enough EP to revolt the next city. Maybe station our spies in Ditchdigger and other likely targets to increase detection chance? Since we dont have enough EP to counter espionage, putting spies in cities seems like the best bet to catch enemy spies.

I don't understand why our units are where they are. BbB is the only important city on that front. I've said multiple times they would sell out to take BbB. Everything else is disposable. And yet here we are trying to figure out how to have them capture the city and then recapture it. If the units were stacked in BbB we hit those curis with cats and everything else and wipe em out. Instead we're out of position.
And yes I know this isn't productive to post this but, I know for a fact that I posted in the main thread that I would not be able to make it to the stream and that I favor stacking our units in BbB, and it is extremely irksome to look at this now and say there's nothing else I can add to help at this point.

Lewwyn, you said that last turn. We had moved our units toward BB as you said. We couldn't have moved them in any better position without teching flying catapults. Saying we should pile all our units and cats into BB means nothing if that simply can't be done.

I didn't see Lewwyn's protests but I think there were a lot of other considerations such as getting the units arriving in theatre joined to our primary stacks and covering our long border.
I distinctly remember a fairly long debate over this.

What are the chances that they Raze BBB and then use the 1-movers to cover the stack - can we still kill some curassiers then?

Harry has a point, we haven't really discussed this possibility. It would be difficult for us to catch that cuirs stack or even the one movers before they were out of there.
