As much as I would like to see you all out murder Commodore, I would totally understand if you walked away again. Though I would hope you instead decide to just murder Commodore and then walk away :D.

I'm fine with walking away from the game. I already said that I wouldn't play another game with Commodore, I have no idea why you keep doing it. I would have moved southwest though.
Noob perspective needed: What's the deal with Commodore?
As the Americans learned so painfully in Earth's final century, free flow of information is the only safeguard against tyranny. The once-chained people whose leaders at last lose their grip on information flow will soon burst with freedom and vitality, but the free nation gradually constricting its grip on public discourse has begun its rapid slide into despotism. Beware of he who would deny you access to information, for in his heart he dreams himself your master. - Commissioner Pravin Lal, "U.N. Declaration of Rights"

See the end of Gaspar and I's PBEM 38 thread. Or the entire thread if you have time.
Also, the server has issues and posting has been taking a while. You don't need to hit post again, in fact you can probably refresh after about three seconds and your post will be there, even if the spinner was still showing previously.

Yeah, SW is arguable. I wanted to get a little extra vision and the timing still worked out for getting the warrior back.
I don't mind being in a game with the guy, I just am tired that the only thing I do in Civ lately is fight Commodore. I might as well just stop posting on RB and play duels with the guy all the time.
Anyway, I'm swapping us to an archer. It's gonna delay our first settler, but we can 1-turn the archer (chop + 5hpt normal production) and at worst we grow to 5 and whip the settler complete. Alternatively, if we don't swap this turn and he advances his warrior, then we are in real trouble.
At least that Archery goof is going to come in handy now.

Noble holds a real grudge against him, so he can best describe his feelings.
As for me, I'm just tired of being near him in pitboss games. The last two "big event" games I've been with him, PB5 & PB8, he's invaded or made hostile moves towards me before turn 80. We've held him off both games -- just barely -- but it ruined any chance either of us had of winning.
Now I get to go through that all over again. Oh joy.
I think we send our warrior NW onto the hill next turn and see if we can return the favor. Archer goes onto the grass spices. Not sure if we want to follow up with a warrior (strictly MP duty) or archer in the capital next.
