DMOC, I could not log in when you where logged and got a message you cannot log in when I was online. Both time the message mentioned firewall settings. So far I had no problems logging in when other players were in or vice versa. So I would guess it maybe related to your fire wall settings, although those things are black magic to me - but I understand not to you  . I do not have BtS CD in, I could not find CD with 3.19 version so had to buy electronic one to update.
EDIT: looks like you can log in when nobody else is playing.

Yeah, I couldn't log in when you were in either ... gotta update a lot of settings since this is the first Pitboss game I've been playing in a while. I can try Googling some of this stuff to figure it out but does anyone have immediate tips?
Also, technically, I couldn't log in since the game was stuck at the loading screen for me, even though CivStats "says" I did.
Anyway, hope I can find my CD shortly to see if that will fix it.

Wow, less than an hour since the game is up - and 5 out of 10 teams logged in already  .

The Pitboss firewall issues are more or less black magic even to me who have a lot of experience with firewalls. For more than one player to be logged in at once, both players needs the Pitboss port to be open in their firewall environment (the port in question here is 2057 obviously) - however, I have encountered several instances where that doesn't help no matter what is done. Sometimes it works, sometimes it doesn't.
As for your problems, DMOC, I know that Sullla also gets the error message about the CD, but his game works fine regardless. You might want to locate your cd and do a reinstall of the game if you don't get it to work properly even with the CD in - or do what Maga did: buy a digital copy online has some other means of DRM (e.g. @ Steam) unless there is some sites out there that sells digital non-DRM'ed copies of the game.

Opening the port seems to have worked, thanks. Sorry for bringing up so many technical issues, but if we get them out of the way early, the rest of the game shouldn't be too bad.

Yes, which is why I was surprised to see a popup message saying that I was missing the CD when I logged into the game the first time. I haven't touched my BtS CD in about 2 years and I honestly don't know where it is.

Do you try to use patch 3.19 without run the game earlier. It will find the directory where the game is installed or where it is the game without installing or you should show where the game folder is. Patch you could find on fanatics web page.
Or
maybe You should first install patch 3.17 and then 3.19.
