Well I don't know. We know he has Civil Service since he swapped to Bureaucracy recently. He's also in a Golden Age so he must be teching pretty quickly, so he could have Philosophy done now. On the other hand there are no other GEs born, so it'll probably take a few turns to build the thing even if he finishes the tech unless he's got the mother of all overflow cascades or lots of forests left somewhere.
Shouldn't you be roading that hill SE of Fall and staging your knights 1SW of it?

I guess the iron is okay though.

Why is everybody out to get me?
 I got my revenge on the RNG though, Zak's morale crossbowman had 77% odds to kill my spearman defending Bird. I guess the other 10XP of the GG were used on a Nav II galley which he has now disbanded. I'm thinking I'll just rush Taj now, stay in Bureaucracy, tech through Engineering, Optics and Gunpowder during the golden age, and enter Nationalism at the end of it. Then stay in Nationalism until I have the two great people needed for a new golden age. Hm, I should get Literature and the Epics soon too. I won't get anywhere significant with knights anyway so I need to think a bit longer term.
