It doubles, but the net result is it just ends up as being like normal speed culture, and I think in most quick MP games, small amounts of culture aren't usually relevant and noticed

They're very much noticed for first border pops. Often a player will even ignore irrigated corn or hill pigs to plant with metal/horse in their first ring. I just must be slipping to have never noticed, or I've never happened into a No Espionage game post-patch.

That's a tempting offer alright. But I must pass; the logistics and time investment for multiplayer just isn't my style. I tend to be a bit of an obsessive personality type and don't need to spend a year and what will amount to hundreds of hours on a single game. Nothing personal you understand.
Hey Jowy - is your handle from Suikoden II?

I could potentially be interested, but then we would be out a mapmaker. Then again, I'm sure T-Hawk can design the map as well as I can, if not better, so maybe...?

Would someone be interested in pairing up with me for this one. Normally I would like to play alone but I think I could use the help. Expecially with real world events I am dealing with.

Hi all. I'm newcomer from CFC and intrested to participate and play in 2 player team e.g. with Broker33 or anyone else needing a partner. I've been lurking the Pitboss game going on here and really like the format where players are publicly telling what they're doing.
I've been playing enough pitboss games where tech trading is on so I strongly prefer tech trading off or somehow hampered using out of game rules. I also would prefer a fast paced game with shortish timer like 18h or even shorter at least in the beginning.

I'd be willing to lend a hand checking over predesigned maps, and giving some help in the conceptual stage. I could design a map as well, if that was wanted, but I'd still ask someone to check it over after it was designed (I prefer to work as a pair for these things, as noted...)
Current games (All): RtR: PB83
Ended games (Selection): BTS games: PB1, PB3, PBEM2, PBEM4, PBEM5B, PBEM50. RB mod games: PB5, PB15, PB27, PB37, PB42, PB46, PB71 PB80. FFH games: PBEMVII, PBEMXII. Civ 6: PBEM22 PBEM23Games ded lurked: PB18

I won't move on to more voting until tomorrow (and I'll still take signups until the map process is begun), but I wanted to give a rundown of where we stand now with potential teams. The following are players who want to play alone, or pairs who have already paired up:
1) LiPing
2) Danski
3) Broker33 + plako
4) athlete4life10
5) Mortius
6) Speaker + Sullla
7) Jowy + Yazilliclick
Players in need of a partner/team:
1) Iamjohn
2) Regoarrarr
3) darrelljs
4) DMOC
5) Nakor
Players who can play alone or in a team:
1) Kodii
2) sunrise089
Therefore if everyone above decides to play and no one new shows up we can have between 8 (the 7 unassigned players all play on one team) and 11 teams. I think one team of 7 is a bad idea, and 11 teams may make a map bigger than some people like. Perhaps the 7 of us could split 3/4 and make 9 teams total?

This gets my vote.
