Except he is completely unresponsive except saying that he is trying his best. That has as much merit as saying that he's George Washington at this point.

I've played in game after game where opponents (ones who already had experience in other RB games) made incredibly poor decisions. It is perfectly acceptable to do so. The fact that this is advertised as a noob game makes me even more incredulous that someone would think lurkers should intervene.

It's worth checking that people aren't intentionally trying to get their stuff captured, as that's usually not allowed. But that's been checked and it's not the case.

I don't think what Halvgud is saying matches up with what has been observed, unless you think what other people are reporting is inaccurate.

yeah I agree with 7. looks like he'll be split 3 ways anyway, suttree is being a good sport and not exploiting the situation.
Please don't go. The drones need you. They look up to you.

I agree with this. I do think he threw the game by just not caring. He's trying to cover his ass now that people are upset. I'm willing to let him play on with ceil and not intervene, but it would be foolish not to let him know he has to start listening to ceil and learn from these mistakes if they are mistakes.

Seven I understand you want to err on the side of caution, but emptying all your cities into two stacks and sending them into two opposing civs while leaving all your cities empty and building a settler, galley and the Great Wall while intermittently running the espionage slider is somewhat beyond an incredibly poor decision. He is not someone who started this game and has real attachment to the civ or the game. He is a sub and he's playing like he doesn't care.

Krill sometimes plays like he doesn't care. It's allowed!

I mean, I personally wouldn't oppose playing with a rule that when things look bad for your civ, your obligation is to defend as ferociously as you can, but precedent is firmly on the side of Halvgud being able to do what he feels like. To be clear, I'm talking about whether lurkers should intervene. I'm not above blaming this game's eventual demise on his loldefense. cool

I don't know about that. Krill talks about not caring and talks about every map being the worst shit he's ever seen, but he always plays reasonably in the former and usually ends up winning in the latter. lol

Yeah but part of the problem is that Sisu was the points and I think tech leader when he took over and basically went from first to last set up another player as a clear runaway in the process. And yes, I'm not advocating any more interference other than to let him know he has to learn from this and hopefully not do this in future games.
