I am fine with it.

Poll 14: Barbarians
Normal
Poll 15: Double moves
Agree (though believe it should be modified to 12 hours (1/2 turn))
Poll 16: Last-minute changing of builds and techs
Agree
Poll 17: Gifting units
No gifting units during wartime
Poll 18: Gifting cities
No temporary gifting of cities and act in good faith
Just curious, but is moving the settler at the end of the turn, and then settling it immediately after the turn rolls over (assuming you were last to play) considered a double move?

Yes, however if the area is uncontested there probably wouldnt be a problem with it. If on the other hand you were racing for a spot with another settler in the area it would definatly be a double move.

Can we all agree it's 12 hours delay instead of 9 and move to the next turn of polls?
Yes, I think so. We'll discuss how reasonable this may be on a case by case basis - complex wars are a ways away. Also, 3-way wars will require we modify the rule anyways.
EDIT: That should finish up all the polls. Normal barbs won, no double moves won, no last minute changes won, no HE unit/West Point unit gifting won, no temporary city gifting won.
At this point the map team can get to work. Would you guys like your own map creation thread in the Pitboss forum, or do you just want to use email/PMs?

Are we waiting for some map's info from our map team, or will the map be a complete surprise, and we pick civs/leaders blindly?
BTW: Dsplaisted posted an adress of a randomizer, which one of our map's designers can use to sort the order in a snake.

Really hope the pick is blind, although we can already deduce a reasonable amount.

I hesitate to randomize the order for the snake pick. I'd rather let someone else post the picking order. I already have a method in place to ensure transparency and that the map is produced without any knowledge on the mapmaking side who is where (to guard our backsides, and make for a more balanced map for the players).
I would appreciate either a forum made for the map making, or that every member of the map making team log any communications about the map makingprocess for posting later. Which I think only excludes those playing, so those that still want to contribute should ask to join.

I'll do a randomized order. I don't have other responsibilities for this map, but I do want to confirm that you're ready for a snake list before I do it.
I'd use the team list from the first page:
*LiPing
*Danski
*Broker33 + plako
*athlete4life10
*Mortius
*Speaker + Sullla
*Jowy + Yazilliclick
*Regoarrarr + darrelljs + sunrise089
*Iamjohn + Kodii
*DMOC + Nakor
Nothing's changed this, correct?

It seems fair to at least let us know what sort of landmass types we will be facing before we pick our leaders and civs. The amount and proximity to water could make a difference in the choices.
