Hello,

I am recently having often problems connecting to the game when somebody is in - or getting messages that others cannot connect because I am in frown. Unfortunately, the message I am getting encourages me only to "check my firewall settings". Can somebody more enlightened explain to me how my firewall settings should look like to avoid these problems? huh

Dear curvy Margarine.

Not all kinds of margarine is compatible with computers and civilizations. Some countries are not used to margarine and when this happens you should not force margarine on the people.

I suggest you check your firewall settings. Check that Civ is among exceptions when you search after "Windows Firewall". Or you could shut the firewall down each time you log on for a few minutes.

Ensure that port 2058 is forwarded in your router to your computer, Maga, as well as checking the internal firewall of Windows as Arki specifies above. It might not work, but it should theoretically do the trick. Civ4 is tricky like this...

I am having the same problem as TeddyKGB and it looks like that I might have brought the game down, since now I can't connect full stop. I am not having any problems with other Pitboss games I am in, so this is rather confusing why this one game is like that. I have played other piboss games hosted by caledorn without any problem, but for some reason this one is causing some problems. The problems always occur after the downloading stage and when it changes screen it often freezes.

EDIT. I was able to get in without trouble, so it is not constant. Also it means the connection is fine.
